Hello Friends! ❤️ Important Read as we are changing our method on how we place orders...and will no longer be blindly stocking the stand.

First, I want to say how much I truly love baking for our community and sharing these items with you all. Your support of The Hawk Bakehouse means so much to us!!!

As much as I enjoy doing this, we’ve realized that our current “bake and hope” model simply isn’t financially responsible or sustainable.

With visitor numbers varying so drastically each week, we often end up with wasted ingredients, wasted package supplies, and so many hours of work that we simply cannot recover. (These things add up very fast and have shown me that I am working so hard and not even covering expenses each week for the product alone).

We want to shift towards a method that ensures success on our end and you getting the freshest bakes without them sitting in the stand for a day or two in this Alabama Heat.

To ensure we can stay open and keep serving the Hawk/Woodland community, we are shifting to a more sustainable pre-order model going forward.

How it will work:
🧁 Planned Menus: we will post a menu at least twice a month. To order, simply comment on the post or send us a DM.
🍪 Guaranteed Orders: To secure your order, a 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering. We accept Venmo or Cash App. If you prefer cash, you can use the Drop Box at the stand—please place your cash in an envelope with your name and drop it in. (Send us a Message so that we know to expect it there)
🍰 Fresh Pickup: Your order will be freshly made and ready for pickup at the stand on Saturday morning with your name on it.
🍞 Bakery Packaging: Some items will now be offered in standard bakery quantities (like half-dozens or full loaves) to help us reduce waste.
👩🏼‍🍳 Bonus Bakes: We may occasionally have a few "bonus items" available at the stand for walk-ups—but pre-ordering is the only way going forward to guarantee your order, as we will not intentionally make extras.

We already have several wonderful customers who regularly pre-order, and this shift allows us to focus on quality and community without the heartbreak of food and profits going to waste. We won’t have a menu for this coming weekend, but will post next weekend's menu very soon—we can’t wait to share what’s coming next!

The life of a Baker...This evening we finally got to slice into our Soft White Sandwich Loaf that we saved for our own personal use.. I'm so thrilled that we were able to solve the Sourdough Bread going Hard within a couple of days..Typically you have to resort to using Sourdough (made homemade without the added preservatives) as toast. Well not anymore...I wish y'all could see how tender this bread is still through a picture... Tomorrow Night we are having Honey Ham with Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

This has been my Favorite Loaf Yet!!! Absolutely Gorgeous!!!
Honey Butter Cinnamon Raisin Bread. Since this has the Butter Inclusion it will have a Croissant Consistency to It...as you can see to the top..Flaky Layers of Goodness. We will have loaves at the stand in the morning, but have a Vendor Event in Wedowee...If you want bread from the Stand better make your appearance by 1:00 PM otherwise you will need to pick it up at Chimney Cove Raise the Lake Vendor Event in Wedowee. It starts at 3:00 PM. We will also have Cinnamon Rolls at the event, but not the stand. (Unless you Pre-Order some to be left at the Stand)

Well I don't know about Y'all but I'm ready for Fall!!! Summer hasn't even gotten here yet lol...We will be planting the Pumpkin Patch in the next 4 to 6 weeks...for this Fall.. It's hard to believe you have to plant these guys so early in the year for Fall...We will have so many different varieties of pumpkins available...Big Max to Casper, to the Traditional Jack O Lantern, We will also have White and Orange Jack Be Little Pumpkins, and Sugar Pie Pumpkins for your baking needs as well as a Variety of Gorgeous Squash and Gourds for a festive Fall.
