This is a special post of firsts! The first birthday for this little cutie and first of what I hope is many collaborations with one of my favorites! K. Cameo Photography and I teamed up and showed out to celebrate this little guy’s first birthday with an adorable photoshoot and a delicious banana cake with cream cheese frosting. He smashed into his smash cake all right! The cake was smeared all over! Has cake ever looked more adorable?

I literally woke up thinking about these Tequila Sunrise Mimosa cocktails!!! We made them for Mother’s Day years ago and they knocked all the mothers off their feet! And did you know Stepmother’s Day is a thing?! It’s observed the Sunday after Mother’s Day. Hello! There should be a National “I’m not a biological parent but I assist with taking care of a minor day” for all of the people who do their best to make a difference in the lives of the young ones they care about. 🤔 So, we’d like to take a moment to cheers all of those that do! 🥂

Trying to keep up with the food trends is a little tricky sometimes. Other times they can be a bit intimidating. The mirror glaze trend is definitely one that has more science involved than usual when baking. This one was for the co-owner himself, and one of the biggest chocoholics I know! Chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, and of course the chocolate mirror glaze. And then he had the nerve to say I should have shaved some chocolate on top 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

While working on some behind-the-scenes stuff, I thought I’d share this flashback beauty!! On occasion, I create a work of art that I want to keep for myself. This cake was one of those, simple yet delicious! Vanilla cake with strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream. Seeing it makes me want to make this one again 😋
