Everytime I start writing this post, the flood of emotion comes crashing back and it's really hard to see the letters through teary eyes. Last week was easily top 10 moments in my 40 years. I wonder if Mike & Karen knew, after their first CookieCon, that they had created a space that would empower, bring together, challenge, and inspire us to be the best human?
The opportunities they offered...scared the crap out of me. But knowing that every room was filled with cookie artists and friends, I put my big girl pants on and just kept repeating "I'm ready!".
From 4 amazing classes with determined students to a 1st place win to a speech titled "What Were Mike & Karen Thinking?", last week was a testimony to this little cookie business. And it is so much more than cookies. When a room of 900+ people yelling happy birthday to your Erin can make you cry, you're in the right room.
Thank you to each student that chose to spend their time with me, Becky for always being the best assistant! My fellow cookie artists that hugged, encouraged and put up with me making you cry. My husband for always showing up and standing beside me. Mike & Karen, thank you doesn't come close.
