My name is Jim Hassett and I'm the owner and head instructor at Moorestown Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I currently hold the rank of third degree black belt under my brother, John Hassett, who also operates two academies in South Jersey.

I began BJJ in the late 90s when my brother began teaching jiu-jitsu out of his first academy, and since then I have been hooked on all aspects of BJJ. I have traveled around the country training or competing at high level events, and learning every step of the way.

My Jiu-Jitsu has also translated into a deep passion for scholastic wrestling, as I have been around the sport for years as a competitor, and more recently, coach. The discipline taught in wrestling is unmatched, something I strive to apply routinely to my Jiu-Jitsu instruction.
