I found this note while attempting to clean out unnecessary notes on my phone. I closed the bakery 2 years ago and I wrote this 9 years ago, not sure why…but after re-reading this I realize that it may help someone who is trying to realize their dream, had a dream deferred or has to close the door on their dream. First thing is you just have to do it, even when all of the things don’t line up and you don’t have everything on your vision board. It’s ok, it’s never going to be the perfect storm, make due with what you got. Second, what you see on social media and reality tv will not be what you experience. Shows and social media are over produced and biased. To be honest, most people don’t want to do all the things to run a bakery daily. Trust me, I’ve had bakers and interns who wanted to run a bakery until they were behind the scenes and their minds were changed instantly. And lastly, if you have to change course or close all together, be proud of your accomplishment of opening at all. You did that 💪🏾 Hope this helps someone. ❤️ Tanya
