THE UNLIKELY JOURNEY TO GREATNESS
“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant” Psalm 105:17

Psalm 105:17 says, “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant” In Genesis 37, we read about Joseph and his family and saw how Joseph incurred hatred from his own brothers because he was loved and favored by their father, Jacob. We read how when he told them his dream, they hated him the more and we saw how they wanted to kill him when he was sent by his father to check on them as they grazed the flocks near Shechem but eventually ended up selling him to the Ishmaelites who sold him to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of his guard.

If you were Joseph and the Lord told you that you will become a great star, whose family will bow before him, you will never think that that greatness will start from you being hated, spite, hostility, death-threats, and being sold to some strangers. What anyone will think and say is that the devil wants to stop us from being great. Fortunately, such is the way that the Lord chooses to send His beloved and chosen ones on the journey to greatness. We know that for Joseph, this did not end the journey.

Fortunately, and from what seem like a most unfortunate situation, Joseph was falsely accused of r**e by Potiphar’s wife because he did not agree to yield to that temptation, and he ended up in jail from a place that he was favored and by a man who recognized that his household was favored because of Joseph’s presence and had made him in charge of everything in his house. He ended up in a prison where the kings put their prisoners and there, he spent about 13 years of his life. Are you in a similar situation and a journey that is characterized by one problem after another and a never-ending low-level situation? Does your story look like that in Amos 5:19 where a man runs from a lion, only to meet a bear, escapes to his house, rests his hand on the wall, and is bitten by a snake. Note that the vision is for an appointed time and even though it tarries, wait for it, it will surely happen. The Lord is in absolute control!

Like Joseph who ended up becoming a Prime Minister from prison, in your own long-winding journey, the Lord is building capacity, character, skills, wisdom through the prolonged journey, Note that as Joseph was made the master of Pharaoh’s household, ruler over all that the king possessed, and moreover to instruct the princes and senators as he pleased, so shall all matters of great importance be committed into your hands at end of the day. Like Joseph, you shall have gains rather than losses at the end of all that you went through, you shall rule during your enemies, occupy the throne of glory and be celebrated! Do have a very prolific week!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord by your mercy, let this long-winding painful story end now and in glory like never imagined, in Jesus’ Name!

WINNING IN THE KINGDOM
After His suffering, He presented Himself to them with many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a span of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3

For those who are God’s, the Holy Spirit is the one that does the work through them, He fights for His people and gives the proof or result that He is with them. Revelations 12:11 says that we overcome by the Blood of Jesus and the Word of our testimony. The word did not tell us that we overcome by quarrels, fights and arguments. No wonder that in Acts 19:1-16, when Paul got to Ephesus and decided to go into the synagogue disputing daily, persuasively arguing for a period of 3 months, he only succeeded in helping to harden their hearts and making the people speak evil about Christianity.

According to Zechariah 4:6, it is not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD”. The difference between the argument period and the time Paul spent in the synagogue discussing with people was very clear: for two years, it was not mentioned that he put the people off and made them think that he should win over obstinate and more hardened. The result was very clear: God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured, and the evil spirits left them. Paul was admired and envied to the point that the seven sons of Sceva thought that they could do the same thing.

As we go back to Church after the Corona Virus break, let’s flow with the Holy Spirit and see Him make us envied in our community. For you who would partner with the Holy Spirit to do the Lord’s assignment, the Lord’s way, He would lift you up, give you such unbelievable results that would make you a wonder to your world like He did with Paul and make your name great! You shall indeed be called a tree of righteousness and a joy of many generations! Do have a glorious weekend!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Holy Spirit fill me afresh and use me to glorify your name in our world, in Jesus’ Name!

THE HELP OF GOD
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121:1

God is the help of His people especially those who cannot help themselves. Anyone that feels that he is okay and does not need the help of God may never get God’s help except he asks for it. In John 5, we saw a man who was lame for 38 years until Jesus singled him out having learned that he had been in this condition for a long time. Whether one asks or not, God can and will help anyone that He made.

The following are some of the different ways God can help His people: He can help you whether you ask or not. He can pick up the unspoken wish as Jesus did with the lame man at the Pool; He can help you as His child, His servant and His worshipper, He can single you out a group of people with similar needs and help as He did at the Pool. Jesus helped Blind Bartimaeus when He asked him for mercy and helped Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 when her prayer aligned with God’s will and program.

In Haggai Chapter 1, God arose and helped the Remnants that came back from exile since they did not understand what would please God. They had neglected rebuilding God’s House while they had built their own houses, therefore, God caused them to rebuild it through the words that He sent through Prophet Haggai. From here, He gave them huge promises which include silver and gold and greater glory. Moreover, in 2 Chronicles 26, God helped young King Uzziah to become established. Uzziah achieved a lot and even built towers in the desert, he also developed great technological and engineering skills and it was stated that he was marvelously helped by God. In this season, as you focus your attention on God in this month of June, He will help you marvelously even when you do not ask Him for anything! Even in your problems and trouble, God will be your refuge and strength and ever-present help (Psalm 46:1), God shall help you right early and without delay!

Additional References: Psalm 46:1-5; Psalm 121:1-2; 2 Chronicles 26:15;

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Oh Lord, help me and my family marvelously, be our refuge and strength and ever-present help in trouble! Father, help us right early and without delay, in Jesus’ Name!

REJECT THE BEAST CULTURE
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11;

Some people on planet earth think that life on earth is that of the rat race, and so there is nothing like a clean life or a clean way of doing things, therefore, they cannot believe or see that there is a God who created them and has designed them with purpose in mind let alone having their provisions far ahead of them (before they appeared on earth). To them, they must cut corners, shove their ways to achieving anything and everything in life, they take and give bribes to live or better put, survive, and oppression is not only allowed, but also their norm in life. They believe with their whole heart that that is how life ought to be.

In addition, they feel that they must achieve whatever they want at all means and at all costs no matter if thousands of people are forcefully taken off the earth for their sake. They think that life is designed to run as the survival of the fittest system and such people are those who dare the church and God. Such people need to be very careful because:
1. They do not have any place in God (who formed them for a purpose) which they do not know. Isaiah 43:21; Ephesians 2:10
2.They are stretching the mercy of God while God is waiting for them to accept the gospel message of Jesus Christ and change their ways. Psalm 103:17
3. Humans are not meant to live on earth forever, therefore, this animalistic behavior which is anti-God and satanic does not have any place with God and so will lead them straight to hell if they do not repent. John 3:16
4. All that such people have and will ever have is what they possess through their pushing and shoving in the rat race systems that they and people like them created in this world. This means that while they think that they are living large, God sees them as the most miserable of people He ever made. 1 Corinthians 15:19
5.Because they do not fear God, they will die like mere men or chickens and end up in hell fire where they will be eaten up by worms in an unquenchable fire where they gnash their teeth with Satan forever. Psalm 82:6

For you who know the Lord, and fear Him, while you fight hard to bring the will of God on earth, those pushers and shovers will be called destroyers and lawless. As you keep doing the will of God, you shall be the hand of God to establish God’s mandate on earth and nothing good will be withheld from you here and hereafter!

Additional References: Psalm 103:17-19; Jeremiah 1:5, Jeremiah 29:11; Isaiah 43:21; Ephesians 2:10

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day and a New Month! Lord, from now henceforth, Lord, as a Kingdom builder with purpose in mind, let me be your vessel of making earth like heaven, in Jesus’ Name!

CHANGING BAD LAWS
When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry; Esther 4:1

Since men started communal lives, bad laws and policies come up occasionally because humans are in charge. While bad laws exist, people do not have to accept them because even God who is supreme has had cause to change certain laws because humans appealed to Him. Numbers 27:1-11. (See the case of the Daughters of Zelophehad.) Even when Jesus Christ walked on the earth and had the agenda to seek and save the lost souls in Israel, in Matthew 15:21-28, God broke that ceremonial law by giving the children’s bread (healing) to the Canaanite woman whose daughter was possessed. She worshipped and would not let anything deter her until the Lord attended to her request.

Even so, all over our world, there is a protest that’s going on against injustice and racism. The Book of Esther gives us a clue as to how to change mean and wicked policies and laws. Chapter 4 started by telling us how Modecai, an elder and Esther’s uncle carried out a one-man protest. For us to experience the changes that we are demanding from the powers that be, there must be a combination of the following:

• A peaceful and insistent protest that would draw attention of people in position who can do something about the horrible laws and policies
• The ability of the people to identify the leaders that God has raised up for the moment/season
• The rise of divinely inspired and self-motivated leaders who are fearless and ready to go for the people to dialogue and negotiate with the authorities that be, no matter what it takes
• Prayers and Fasting: No matter how much protest people put up, without prayers and fasting to back up their petitions or demands, their protests would simply yield just a little bit of shift or not even make any dent. There is a need to go spiritual on things of this life because by strength shall no man prevail.

In our world today, there are many errors that must be corrected, justice that needs to be served and compensations that need to be made. As the Lord shakes up the heavens and the earth, the sea, the dry land and the nations, He would begin to grant the desires of all who desire a change for fairness and justice and more equitable laws and policies in this season. Since the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short, for you who are in His will and demanding a change, remain assured that the Lord will answer you because He is on your side, and favor and glory are on your side as well!

Additional References: Esther 4; Haggai 2:6-7

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, as the Supreme Commander of the Universe, shake up the heavens, the earth and nations and grant us the changes in our laws and policies to reflect your glory! Thank you for the change that you are bringing to us (your people) and to our world, in Jesus’ Name!

GOD REMEMBERS HIS PEOPLE!
And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. Genesis 21:1

When a person begins a relationship with the Lord, He opens the Book of Life for him and has a Book of Remembrance from where He rewards them for every move of faith that they take. The Lord is very mindful of the promises He makes to His children and like He did in the days of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, he would come at intervals to remind them of His covenant promises to them. (See Genesis 12:2; 15:5; 17:6; 26:4 and 28:14, 35:11, etc). The Lord never forgets any of the promises He made to His people and so will never forget any of the promises He made to you and more importantly, the ones that He made for this year.

To further buttress this point, in Haggai 1, in the second year of king Darius and in the 6th month, when the Lord saw that His people were missing something and could not understand why they were not prospering the way they should, the Lord spoke through Prophet Haggai telling them that they had neglected His house while they were living in fine houses and told them that that was the reason for the sufferings and setbacks they were experiencing. How blessed is it to be the Lord’s own! Because He wanted to bless them at the appointed time, He put an urgency to the work of the House of the Lord and told them that He was going to “shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” Haggai 2:6-7 NIV

Have you been waiting for the promises made to you for this year to be manifested? Note that in this 6th month, the Lord is moving with urgency and reviving His works in your life. He is making clear to you the things that you need to put in order for the promises to manifest and is ending delays over the promises He has made in your life. Note that He is ready to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land, including all nations, so that all what you have desired will come to you in this season. He will also fill your life with His glory. For you and your family, from this 6th month, there shall be a great visitation, encounters of a lifetime and manifestations of His promises to you! You shall laugh in June! Welcome to your New Wine Season! Have a flourishing New Week and Month!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day and a New Month! Lord by your mercy, show me why I am going through what I am going through! Lord, correct me, open the Book of Remembrance and bless me indeed with every good thing including silver, gold and your glory, in Jesus’ Name!

GOD IS NOT SLOW!
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

A family member once said that he had observed that it seems like when the devil and his human agents make incantations, evil divinations, sorceries, any witchcraft manipulations, they seem to be very swift in working whereas, it does not happen so fast with those who call upon the name of the Lord in most cases. The problem with many people is that God is not like a man, so it does not go down well with many people because of the suffering that Satan and his agents cause for men. While Satan is all about destruction and always wanting to poke his hands in God’s eyes through afflicting humans, causing untold hardship and problems unhindered, God is not competing with the devil (Lucifer who He created and drove from heaven because of his misbehavior).

The truth is that it may seem like Satan could be swift in afflicting humans, he is not able to succeed with those who have put themselves under God’s shelter (psalm 91:1-2) except if they are under test or trial that would lead to their next level or promotion like Jesus faced in His temptation in Matthew 4:1-11. Why it may seem so, God sees the end from the beginning, therefore, He does not just act to kill a satanic human agent or take them away from earth that fast because He does not want them to perish in hell. He cares about every human’s soul and would want any witch, wizard, demonic agent no matter how terrible they have been to repent and go to heaven. God did not create anyone to go with Satan forever! It hurts God that some humans chose the way of darkness rather than embrace His light.

Why it seems as if God does not counter the satanic swiftness in some cases are as follows:
• God may allow some humans (who are so far from Him) to be afflicted because that would lead them to come to Him, repent and come to salvation. Psalm 119:67, 71
• As noted above, God could permit an affliction because He wanted to use the trial to take His loved ones to a higher level in Spiritual Power
• The all-knowing and all-seeing God could use any situation because He would want to turn it and use it to achieve His divine purpose that we may never understand till we get to heaven. Isaiah 55:8-10; Romans 8:28

Some things that we need to understand is that there are so many afflictions or attacks that God has used His Angels to deliver humans from that we do not know, therefore, we do not know every satanic affliction that He has delivered us from except we were told. How to make sure the devil does not get the best of you is to resist him by submitting yourself wholly to the Lord by repenting from sin and receiving Jesus Christ into your life and letting Him take over your life and affairs completely. This is how you can be assured that God is looking out for you since He is being so patient and trying so hard to make sure that even the worst human agent of darkness does not go to hell. For you who love the Lord and have submitted to Him and His rule over your life completely, no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper! Note that it has never entered into the mind of any human, what the Lord has prepared for you who love Him! Have a glorious weekend!!

CONSTANT SELF-EXAMINATION REQUIRED FOR YOUR VISION
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5

Why constant self-examination is necessary is because it helps you to know if you are on track with God’s vision for your life, your divine purpose, your dream or goal, and if you are where you ought to be at a particular period of time or not. While some may be thinking that they are doing well because they are somewhat comfortable, some may not even in line for God’s will for their lives, they may be re****ed in growth and stagnant, not moving at the pace God wants them and even not at the level they ought to be. In Isaiah 6:1, Isaiah wrote that “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” Who knew exactly what happened to the Prophet Isaiah?

Like Prophet Isaiah, most people do not seek to examine if they are still in the will of God, if they are indeed on the pathway of the just man which is from glory to glory (Proverbs 4:18) because (like Isaiah who was enjoying at the palace of Uziah), they are very comfortable. If care is not taken, comfort in any place may give us a false sense of arrival or that one has reached his goal. This is what happens. This is why some people set daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly goals, etc. This helps them measure where they are in relationship with their original and entire vision.

As for Isaiah, he thought he was doing great as a chronicler at Uzziah’s place writing the king’s story instead of living as a prophet to the nations. If King Uzziah had not died, he could have devoted his whole life as the king’s recounter and would not have written most of the Books of Isaiah that is still blessing humanity after thousands of years. He was only able to write 5 chapters of his Book while the Lord had so many more for his life. 61 chapters were only written after the death of King Uzziah. Who knows if he was originally destined to write more than 66 chapters and lost some because he was not able to do what he was supposed to be doing till King Uzziah died. To avoid making such mistakes, every person that is walking with the Lord needs to:
• Examine themselves whether they are still walking with God and in line with His plans for their lives
• They need to have their written goals examined weekly to see what they did toward their visions, goals or dreams.
• In 2 Kings 2:3-7, like Elisha refused to be distracted by the sons of the prophets in Bethel, Jericho and Jordan. Let nothing stop you.
• Even when the master, Elijah, told Elisha to stay behind (on the day that he was to be taken to heaven in a whirlwind, he refused. No matter who one is, a man or woman of vision can wisely and politely refuse to do what is contrary to God’s vision for his life. 2 Kings 2:2-6

Do you have a dream or a vision? Do not be distracted by comfort, reject all of life’s distractions, rather go over your diary, your vision book, ask for wisdom to be able to get out of any hold that is taking you away from your vision or your divine destiny. Stay focused and the volume of the Books that was written concerning you, will be fully accomplished!

Additional References: Isaiah 6; 2 Kings 2:1-12; 2 Peter 1:10; Philippians 3:12-19

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Father, help me to be focused with your calling for my life and give me the grace to reject any alternative to my destiny and comfort that leads to derailment. I decree that volume of the Books that was written concerning me will be fully accomplished, in Jesus’ Name!

RESEMBLANCE WITH THE FATHER!
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? John 14:9

In John 14:1-9, Jesus told His disciples that He was going to prepare a place for them and that they will be where He was, going to be, letting them know that He was the way, the truth, and the life and that no man comes to the Father, but by Him. It was surprising that Jesus’ disciples did not even know that Jesus came to show them the Father (God). Let’s not be surprised that Jesus’ disciples were not so sure about everything that they did with Jesus because it was so strange being the first people that Jesus introduced Himself to firsthand and also, the Holy Spirit had not been given like it happened in Acts 2.

From Jesus lifestyle and how He had taught us to live like Him, we can see some ways that we can identify with Him as those who truly believe in Him:
• In John 9:5, Jesus said that “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.", in Matthew 5:14, that is the same thing He said about us: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden”
• Jesus in John 8:19 says to some Pharisees that ““If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” This means that like Jesus, we too can be like Him in knowing God, the Father
• John 15:19-20, Jesus said that how they treat Him is how they will treat you who truly believe in Him, therefore, the world may hate you without cause because they do not know Him (Jesus) or the Father, “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.”
• According to 1 John 4:9, we live through Jesus, therefore, we must resemble Him.
• Also, according to 1 John 4:17 and 1 John 2:5, we who believe have our own love walk perfected because as Jesus is, so we too are in this world.
• John 5:17-20, you too would be loved by the Father to the point that you (like Jesus) can see what the father wants to do on earth and do the work as the hands and feet of the Lord.
• In seeing what the Lord wants to do on earth and being the ambassadors of Christ, according to 2 Corinthians 5:19-20, as the hands and feet of the Lord, we ought to continue like Jesus to bring the message of reconciliation between God and man.
• In seeing and drawing from the mind of the Lord, those things as new things, new creations, new inventions, and even new ideas that He wants to release on earth at any time and
• Before Jesus left, He said that greater works shall we (who believe in Him) do.
• (John 14:12) and in John 17:22, Jesus told the Father that He has given us the glory that the Father gave Him, so that we will be one as He and His Father are One.
For you who truly believe in Him and love Him, as you walk in this love with one another, and purify yourself as He is pure, you shall be above only, have blessings overtake you, be sought after like Jesus as you remain truly connected (through prayers and studying the word), as we have seen, and there shall be no limit to what the Lord will do through you and for you!

Additional References: 1 John 4:9-17; John 5:17-20; John 14:1-9; 1 John 3:3

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Father, give me the grace to manifest your glory and walk as Jesus did and operate with glory, doing greater works in my generation, in Jesus’ Name!

DON’T SHUT YOUR OWN DOOR OF MERCY
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. Psalm 18:20

Many do not know that God relates with us as we relate to Him. James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded”. In our key text David says that So the LORD has repaid him according to his righteousness, according to the cleanness of his hands in His (God’s) sight. This shows that God’s standards are the same for every person He made.

Moreover, Psalm 18:25-26 say that “With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.” This is how God will repay every human. This is the writing of David who the Lord called “the man after His heart”, and it shows that we work out our own salvation and how we will be recompensed or rewarded by God. Unfortunately, many people are shutting themselves out of God’s mercy. Matthew 5:7 says “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” After 120 years of preaching, warning the world that the flood that would destroy the earth was coming, and building an ark, (and after Noah and his family entered the ark with all the animals and birds that the Lord asked him to put in the ark got in, according to Genesis 7:16), it was God that shut the door of the ark, not Noah. God can shut the door of mercy to the wicked. This year is one of such years that God will shut the door of mercy to the wicked that He has been warning to stop and refused to stop perpetuating wickedness and doing evil against fellow humans. The fact nobody sees them does not mean that God is not looking.

As I write, there are some that the patience of God is running out for, and they already know that God’s everlasting mercy is toward those that love Him and not for the wicked, devilish and the one who is outrightly disobedient to Him. Let humans stop deceiving themselves. It does not matter how much they try to go and clean the church or give money to the church. This actually makes it worse. It is one that knows the truth that is punished most. God’s judgment starts in the house of God, therefore, let everyone that mentions the name of the Lord depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19).

According to Isaiah 61:2, the year of God’s profuse favor and acceptable year is the same year of vengeance against the wicked. This is to comfort His people. For the wicked to avoid God’s judgment, he must stop wickedness against God and fellow humans, he must repent from his sins, live for God, and begin to show mercy to others. Again, it is God that shut the door to Noah’s Ark, not Noah! For you the merciful who have clean hands and a pure heart and live for God, your time of profuse favor is here, and the time to comfort you has come!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, as you deal with people according to righteousness;
and reward them according to the cleanness of their hands, Lord, remember me, show me mercy and let the gate of heaven and everlasting mercy be opened to me forever, in Jesus’ Name!
