When I brought this two tier beach themed birthday cake out and presented it to the family, 10 year old Gabi gasped and held her breath for a moment. All eyes turned toward her. Her face softened and her eyes sparkled as the vision of her birthday cake whisked her away into a magical world of tropical waves, sun, and surf.
“You like it?” Mama asked. An ear to ear grin spread across her face as she came back to this world. Her eyes still on the cake as she nodded ecstatically and ran around to show her excitement.

These are the moments that keep me doing what I’m doing. The joy, the happiness, and the magic that happens when I bring a special dessert out to show the person receiving it - the dance in their eyes, and the glow in their face is what fuels my passion.

A couple years ago, I made a two tier semi naked wedding cake with a cascade of purple flowers curling down the front. To this day, it is one of our most requested wedding cakes.

This weekend I had the opportunity to decorate a version reimagined with a full white frosting and beautiful scrolls. ❤️

It’s Father’s Day today. A day to celebrate the men who show up - day in and day out - with quiet strength, steady hands, and hearts bigger than they often let on. The ones who work long hours, carry heavy burdens, and still find a way to make us feel safe, loved, and cared for.

These men are not always just our biological fathers. Sometimes it’s a step dad, or a neighbor, uncle, or teacher. Sometimes it’s just someone we met along the path who made a permanent impact on our hearts and in our lives. Some have children; some don’t. Some have children and “adopt” more along the way.

But they all lead with love, sacrifice without recognition, and fix what’s broken (even when it’s not lol)… you matter more than words can say.

Some of you are the steady rock.
Some of you are still learning as you go.
Some of you stepped in when you didn’t have to.
And some of you are deeply missed today.

Wherever this day finds you; we hope that you know just how much you are loved, honored, and respected for the impact you made on our lives.

We have just a few of these specialty Father’s Day treat boxes available in store this weekend. Each box is $50 and contains:
1 - Bourbon Caramel Cake Box
6 - chocolate covered pretzel rods
3 standard chocolate covered Oreos
1 specialty chocolate covered oreo puck
1 - Dad brownie
1 - two pack cookies (chocolate chip and Reese’s pieces)
6 - Dad themed decorated cookies

We’ve been busy bees in this kitchen the past few weeks, so I haven’t been very active on Facebook. But I wanted to let y’all know that we are alive and well and planning some beautifully delicious treats and gifts for Father’s Day!

One of our most beloved flavors in autumn fits soooo well for this holiday and we just can’t help taking the opportunity to showcase this special one of a kind cheesecake! Friday and Saturday ONLY, we will have our Bourbon Apple Pecan cheesecake available by the slice, and whole (until it’s gone, at least!). This cheesecake features our cool and creamy traditional vanilla cheesecake topped with loads of juicy sliced apples, a warm, rich, melt in your mouth bourbon infused caramel, and crunchy pecans. It is heavenly!

We will also have some very handsome treat boxes and cheesecake bites boxes available to honor the dads in our lives, along with cookie and brownie trays and all of our regular treats.
