Blessed doesn't even begin to cover it! ❤️

One of the greatest gifts of this little business has been the incredible people I've met along the way. So many of my customers have become friends—and honestly, some feel more like family now. The conversations, laughs, and support mean more to me than you'll ever know.

I absolutely love meeting new faces at my booth, too! There's nothing better than introducing someone to Matka Kolache for the first time. And fair warning... once you stop by and try a treat or two, there's a pretty good chance you'll be back for more! 😉

🍽️ Father's Day dinner, Matka-style! 🍽️

Tonight's feast was proudly brought to you by Matka Kolache and Rawroots Farm TX!

Juicy T-bone steaks marinated in my homemade garlic-infused oil, seasoned just right, grilled to perfection, and topped with Raw Roots Cowboy Butter. 🤤

On the side? Baked potatoes loaded with my garlic herb butter, jalapeño poppers, fresh rosemary focaccia, and because no meal is complete without dessert... German Chocolate cupcakes! 🧁

When you combine local ingredients, homemade goodness, and a whole lot of love, you get a meal fit for a king... or at least a dad. 😉

🥨 Pretzel Fun Fact Time! 🥨

Did you know German pretzels have been around for over 1,400 years? Legend says a monk created the first pretzel, twisting dough to resemble arms crossed in prayer. Pretty wild that something so simple has stood the test of time!

But what makes a true German pretzel different? It's all about that beautiful deep brown crust, chewy texture, and signature flavor. Before baking, pretzels take a special dip that creates that gorgeous color and unmistakable pretzel taste we all know and love.

Here at Matka Kolache, my German pretzels are made the old-fashioned way—handcrafted in small batches, dipped, baked, and sprinkled with just the right amount of salt (or in my case manyyyyyy other toppings). No shortcuts, no frozen dough, and definitely no pretzel imposters around here. 😉

Whether you like them plain, loaded up with toppings, or turned into a sandwich bun, there's a reason pretzels have remained a favorite for centuries.
