You all know I’m usually the one behind the dough here at Homestead Baking Co., but for the last month, I’ve had some serious competition in the kitchen! 🥖✨

The girls officially launched their own micro-bakery a month ago. They have been feeding the starter, mixing and shaping the bread, and delivering to their customers. I am incredibly proud of how hard they are working!

To celebrate their first successful month, they are adding a brand new flavor to their June menu: a Chocolate Chocolate Chip Boule. 🍫🍞

If you want to support some local, young entrepreneurs (and get some incredible bread in the process!), their June subscription books are officially open. Send me a message to claim a spot on their bake list!

Here are their prices:
Per Loaf
Round Boules: $9
Sandwich Loaves: $6

1 Loaf a week Monthly Subscription

NEW! Chocolate Chocolate Chip Boule: $12 per loaf

Fresh loaves are available for pickup on Sunday or Monday for Lexington, and Wednesdays in Wi******er.

I have been baking cakes that I need to share, but first - my daughters have something to share!

Hi! This homemade sourdough is from the Pomeroy girls. There aren't any leaves for us to rake in the Spring and Summer, so we came up with a new plan to earn some extra money for some special things we would like to do this Summer - sourdough bread! We know a lot of people like homemade sourdough, but don’t have the time to make it for themselves. We started learning to make it because our parents were busy so they taught us how to feed the starter, and then how to mix it and take care of the dough. Now we can do everything except take it in and out of the oven. We hope you enjoy this free sample! Let us know if we can bake more for you!

They're offering boules and sandwich loaves. You can pay per week or do a subscription for the month for a discount (see photos for prices). And you'll notice they made all the prices divisible by 3 so they can split the profits easily 😂. You can pickup in Wi******er on Wednesdays or in Lexington on Sundays.

Ps... You'll get a whole loaf, these pictures are samples for the neighbors.
