Howdy strangers! After Beckaboo's Cakes, I moved onto a new chapter of my life. However, I still enjoy creating sugar art for friends and family. Check into this post below. Anyone who makes a donation to the For Lucas Fund at UVA Children's Hospital via my fundraising page before 9/30 will be entered into a raffle to win either 2 dozen cake pops or a custom celebration cake up to $100!
Day 6 of
I attended a roller skating birthday party for a friend's daughter today. As I skated around in tight circles over and over, I thought of all of the families who never had the chance to celebrate even one birthday with their child. I thought of the children who never had the chance to attend a classmate's birthday party. I thought of the kids who would never have the experience of gliding along on wheels (and falling on their behind). Throughout the party, I skated a bonus 4.87 miles for those families and children.
Speaking of birthdays.... Once upon a time, I owned a bakery. I also had the privilege of being an "Sugar Angel". I provided a couple custom celebration cakes to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. I have always enjoyed giving back through my talents. I already said I'd give away 2 dozen cake pops to one of my donors. Now, I'm upping the ante.
If we hit my $1000 (and go beyond), one donor will be given a custom cake up to a value of $100. You will have one year to redeem your custom cake. We are currently at $880 raised through my page in 2018/2019. Almost there!
