Today I want to take a moment to thank all of you that have been with me since the beginning.
I started baking cakes back in 2011 when I was Living in Los Angeles, I did not started baking and decorating cakes with a business in mind it was more because I wanted to make a cake for my son and I couldn’t afford the cost of customize cake. After a year of baking for my family birthdays my friends started asking me to bake for their kids birthdays and that’s how Patty Cakes started.
Patty cakes because my middle name is Patty.

In 2016 my husband transferred to Illinois and we made the big moved, I was home with a 9 and 1 year old and not knowing anybody. I had only one friend back then and she told me that I should start posting my cakes on the local groups I was not sure if it would work but I was so bored just being home for a year and in 2017 I started baking for people in Wilmington and the surrounding areas, I have met so many people through my cakes some clients have turned into good friends.
I have clients that I baked their baby shower cake and I been backing the birthday cake for that baby for 8 years.

I bake because it makes me happy, because I love to create things, cake decorating is like a hobby to me and that’s the reason I don’t see myself opening a bakery. This is not my income, that’s why I don’t charge as much as other bakers do. I’m a mom I know that we love to celebrate our kids we want to give them beautiful moments and that’s why I like to keep my prices affordable. I do not make a big profit from cakes. Most of the profit I make is put into my daughter’s sports and activities.

Today I want to say thank you for your loyalty for trusting me to be part of your special moments thank you for letting me bring a smile to your kids.
