2023, what a bittersweet year!

As some of you may know, Nómada Tortillería is a One-woman show, just me, myself and I.
For the majority of the year I’ve been able to fulfill any and all orders in scorching hot weather, having no days off and ultimately being there for you.

In September, I had an emergency surgery, I’ve had a couple of family emergencies in October and November.

I’ll be taking a break and stopping production so I can take care of myself and my family.

Come by and try some samples of TAMALES this Saturday!

I’ll be using wonderful produce from farmers and of course MASA made with heirloom corn from scratch by me at Nómada Tortillería.

There will also be some tortillas and pounds of masa available if you’re feeling adventurous and want to make your own at home!

I’ll be under the pavilion starting at 9am!

🚨 NEXT MARKET! 🚨
After reaching out to other tortilla bakeries around the US, I’ve modified my recipe (not the ingredients) and will be doing some maintenance on the mill and stones.

Here I go again!
Let me introduce myself, Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week (was born on a Wednesday, got married on a Wednesday, my dad was born on a Wednesday, ya get it) so I’ll post about what I do here.

My name is Genesis, owner of Nómada Tortillería. I’ve always wanted to have my own business. My love for eating and making food started when I was living with my grandma in Ensenada, Baja California when I was 12 years old.

My favorite food to eat (can you guess?) TACOS!
I believe the tortilla is the soul of the taco; nobody likes a tortilla that falls apart or with a ton of preservatives or weird dyes. Without a tortilla there’s no taco and I can’t imagine a world without them.
