When I was teaching a cooking class at Williams-Sonoma this week, our featured menu was totally gluten-free. We were to make ginger cherry oatmeal cookies as part of our meal, and to be honest, this self-proclaimed sweet snob was a bit skeptical. But, boy, was I wrong! These magic orbs were the perfect combination of sweet and salty, filled with bits of dried cherries and crystallized ginger. The secret ingredient that made the cookies moist and chewy? Almond butter! Check out the Williams-Sonoma "Weeknight Gluten Free" Cookbook by Kristine Kidd for the recipe. I'm now a gluten-free fan!
