Our Farm Hop family grew again this week! Every new addition gives us another little adventure to take, another place to explore in our own communities, and most importantly, another local family, farmer, grower, baker or small business owner we get the opportunity to support.
🍰 Just Wonderful Sweets-Williston, FL
Just Wonderful Sweets is a Florida cottage bakery in Williston created by baker Keila, whose love of baking began when she was just 10 years old. Her desserts are primarily made from scratch with fresh ingredients and are meant to have that comforting, homemade “just like grandma’s house” feel. The name itself has a sweet family connection, it was inspired by one of Keila’s mother’s favorite phrases.
Keila also offers cake decorating classes! If you’ve ever wanted to learn some of the skills behind those beautiful cakes instead of only eating them, keep an eye on Just Wonderful Sweets for upcoming class opportunities.

🌱 Bumpy Road Farmz-Citra, FL
Now THIS is a Farm Hop kind of stop. Bumpy Road Farm is a small-town, family run nursery and farm where they say everything is raised and fed organically. They offer pasture raised eggs along with a fantastic assortment of useful and edible plants, including dragon fruit, mulberries, figs, prickly pear, perennial greens, Barbados cherry, comfrey, Florida native elderberry, bananas, papaya, pineapple, passion fruit, sugarcane and more. Pickup and delivery are available in Citra; contact them at [email protected] for current availability. I especially love seeing another small family operation growing food, raising food AND helping other people grow some of their own.
🧁 D’Sweet Flour Spot -Ocala, FL
D’Sweet Flour Spot is a small Ocala bakery creating custom cakes, cookies, pastries and a seriously tempting variety of desserts. Custom cakes are available in round and sheet sizes with flavors including vanilla, chocolate, pistachio and wedding almond, along with vanilla cream, chocolate cream and cream cheese filling options, and custom flavors, fillings and designs may be available upon request. Their dessert offerings include tres leches in various flavors, strawberry shortcakes, cheesecakes, Jell-O cups, flan, mousse, tiramisu cups, brownies, mini cupcakes, chocolate chip and double chocolate chip cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries and pretzels, cinnamon rolls and assorted pastries. They also offer charcuterie and fruit boards. Mini desserts for dessert tables are available in quantities of a dozen or more. Keep an eye on their page for special bake sales and limited offerings, too, recent goodies have included guava-filled polvorones, chocolate cake and carrot cake by the slice.
🍭 Bearly Sweet Treats and Refreshers-Ocala, FL
Bearly Sweet Treats and Refreshers is an Ocala cottage bakery with a pretty impressive range of homemade sweets and baked goods. Their offerings include cupcakes, cookies, muffins, fresh sourdough bread, cheesecakes, chocolate-covered treats, cake balls and gourmet specialty cake pops, along with a variety of homemade scones, like their seasonal pumpkin scones with maple drizzle. Muffin flavors have included blueberry, cinnamon apple, lemon poppyseed, banana and chocolate chip, while cupcakes and cakes come in fun flavors such as banana pudding, blueberry, cookies & cream, butterbeer and more. They also create specialty and seasonal treat platters for parties and events featuring combinations of cupcakes, cake pops, Rice Krispie treats, pretzels, cookies, cheesecake shooters, muffins, scones and other goodies. And if you’re a coffee lover, keep an eye out for their specialty coffee-inspired cupcake and cake-pop flavors, including Mocha Cookie Crumble, London Fog Latte, S’mores Frappuccino, Butterbeer, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, Chocolate Cold Brew and Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. Beyond the edible goodies, they also occasionally offer seasonal creations like their “Bearly Cozy” simmer-pot packs made with dried fruits and spices.

Cookie people, I found another one for you. 😂 Midnight Munchie by Jai specializes in homemade classic and gourmet cookies, with flavors like Midnight Puddin’ Fix, Moon Butter Crunch, Lunar Eclipse Cookies & Cream, Campfire Dream S’mores, Strawberry Moon Crunch and plenty more. Custom flavor requests are available too. Orders require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, with pickup available around Ocala, Belleview and Summerfield and a $20 minimum order. You can order online through Midnight Munchie by Jai. What began with Jai simply sharing homemade cookies with coworkers grew into a small business inspired by family, fueled by love and, appropriately enough, perfected during a whole lot of late nights.
🌿 The Florida Native • Antiques & More-15 S Market Blvd., Webster, FL
Here is a fun one to add to your Webster adventures! The Florida Native Antiques & More gives Farm Hoppers another locally owned stop to explore while they are in town, with antiques and an assortment of unique finds to browse. If you are already making the trip to Webster, this is exactly the kind of little local place worth wandering into because you never quite know what you are going to find.
🥕 Hernando FRESH Market-1996 N Hwy 41, Hernando, FL
This one gives our Citrus County Farm Hoppers another actual destination to explore! Hernando Fresh Market offers a local place to shop for fresh foods and goods while putting those dollars back into the community. Add them to your next trip through Hernando and see what you can bring home.
🍪 Boujie Bites-Beverly Hills, FL
Boujie Bites is a home-based cottage baker specializing in dipped treats, baked sweets and customizable goodies for everything from a little treat-yourself moment to parties and celebrations. The menu includes chocolate-covered strawberries, pretzels, Oreos, Rice Krispies treats and Cakesicles, along with cookies, cupcakes, Bundt cakes, cinnamon rolls and pudding. Cookie flavors include classics like chocolate chip and double chocolate alongside Cookies & Crème, S’mores, Macadamia Nut and Peanut Butter Trashcan. You’ll also find fun cinnamon roll flavors like Biscoff, Oreo, S’mores, Fruity Pebbles and Strawberry Shortcake.
For celebrations, Boujie Bites offers party packages and dessert-table packages combining several of their most popular treats. I know I say it a lot, but there is a reason: where we spend our money matters. When you spend $10 with a small local baker, buy your eggs from a farmer down the road, pick up a fruit tree from a family nursery or wander into a locally owned shop instead of automatically clicking “add to cart,” that purchase becomes more than a transaction. You are helping somebody keep doing what they love. You are helping a farm remain a farm, helping a kitchen become a business, helping a family pay a bill and giving another small local dream a reason to keep going.
And little by little, that is how we keep our communities ours. 💚
