๐ **Teaching Our Children to Love YHWH More Than the World** ๐
As a mother, this is something that weighs heavily on my heart.
Every day, our children are surrounded by the world's ways. Through television, social media, friends, advertisements, and entertainment, they are constantly being taught what to desire, what to value, and how to think. If we're not careful, they can slowly begin to love the things of this world while finding the ways of YHWH burdensome or "different."
I've seen this struggle even in my own children. There are times when they would rather do what everyone else is doing than walk in obedience to YHWH's commands. There are moments when the world's distractions seem more appealing than prayer, Scripture, kindness, forgiveness, or honoring His ways.
As parents, we are in a battle for our children's hearts.
YHWH warned us about this:
> "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children..." โ Deuteronomy 6:6-7
The world is diligently teaching our children every day. The question is: Are we diligently teaching them the ways of YHWH?
Scripture tells us:
> "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." โ 1 John 2:15
My prayer is not that my children become popular, successful, or accepted by the world. My prayer is that they love YHWH with all their heart, soul, and strength. That they choose obedience when it is difficult. That they treasure His commandments rather than resent them. That they learn to love truth more than comfort.
I know I won't do this perfectly, but I will keep pointing them to Yeshua, who showed us what true obedience looks like. I will keep teaching them that YHWH's commandments are not a burden, but a blessing and a gift from a loving Father.
Please join me in praying for the next generationโthat they would not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of their minds, and that they would fall deeply in love with YHWH and His ways. โค๏ธ
