Five at a time. 🍪

Every Auntie Cookie’s cookie starts at six ounces—and my home oven holds exactly five.

Somehow, five at a time has turned into hundreds of cookies, busy Michigan markets, and a side hustle that appears to have missed the “small” part.

Small batch isn’t marketing language around here. It’s literally the size of my oven.

A grocery-store shortage accidentally became a new cookie. 🍪

Mint Chocolate Chip started as a test batch after I couldn’t find macadamia nuts.

It tasted like my favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream, with a soft, almost brownie-like center—so today it got promoted from my kitchen to the market table.

And because apparently I enjoy testing multiple variables at once, today was also our last Saturday market for a couple of weeks.

So…how did the new kid do?
Well, I brought 0 home.

Solo market day. 🍪

The heavy equipment was already packed, the cookies were ready, and by 3:00 I had the booth open and the first market of the week underway.

Running the booth alone means fewer videos and considerably more conversations across the table—which is exactly where my attention should be.

Thank you to everyone who stopped, chose a cookie, asked a question, or came back for a favorite.

Eight doughs in—and the refrigerator called a meeting. 🍪

We’re trying to double production after coming home from Saturday’s market with only five cookies.

The problem is that doubling production does not also double the size of my refrigerator, kitchen or oven.

So today’s plan became:
Make dough. Fill refrigerator. Bake five cookies. Create space. Add more dough. Repeat.

Some of the twenty-eight are still chilling. Some are already cookies. Every available surface has accepted a new responsibility.

Same home kitchen. Same five-at-a-time oven. More demand—and a slightly more complicated schedule.
