who is AFSP and what do they do?
the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP of Missouri) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by su***de
AFSP works to:
💙 fund research to better understand and prevent su***de
💙 educate the public about mental health and su***de prevention
💙 advocate for policies that support mental health and su***de prevention
💙 provide resources and support for those who have lost someone to su***de or have been personally affected
💙 bring communities together through events like the Out of the Darkness Walks
and this week, you can help support that mission right here in Williamsburg! 🫶
🍪 all week: 100% of sales from Abby’s Goodies blue sugar cookies will be donated to AFSP
🍦 saturday, august 22: join us at Marlene’s Ice Cream & Gifts for our AFSP ice cream social! 100% of sales from the special blue sugar cookies AND Central Dairy blue ice cream during the event will go to AFSP 💙
we’ll also have an AFSP resource table set up saturday with information and resources available to take home. if you have questions about AFSP, the Columbia Out of the Darkness Walk, getting involved, or the resources available in our community, come talk to us!
it might feel like you’re just grabbing a cookie or a scoop of ice cream, but together those little purchases can support a much bigger mission!
thank you for helping us spread awareness, start conversations, and support su***de prevention 🫶
