Second round post so we could add the Venmo QR code in here and changed the event name to Transforming w/Clay.

On September 13th, the lovely artist/educator A U + U M N will be in Wichita hosting a Healing Hangout in the Reverie event space located directly to the East of our café. Im super excited for this and cant wait to see people come together & create/connect!

This is a creative and interactive event, in which participants will be utilizing air-dry clay and a variety of other materials to process feelings, fears, and whatever else comes up through the process. While the event is free, donations are encouraged. Autumn puts alot of time, travel, and entry into her events.

Join us on Sunday afternoon, September 13th at 2:22pm (doors open at 2). Materials are provided, but if you have significant & memorable trinkets or small items that you would like incorporated into your artwork, feel free to bring those as well! There will be an optional sharing time at the end set aside for anybody with the desire to share with eachother. Hope to see you all there!

Okay, but look at these pastries. 😍🥐

These beauties were recovered from Reverie Coffee Roasters last week and delivered straight to The Treehouse.

Reverie has been donating food surplus to ICT Food Rescue almost since the very beginning, and today we have four food recovery routes scheduled with them each week, connecting their surplus with Wichita Fellowship Club, Inc., The Treehouse, City Life Church, and HumanKind Ministries.

Scheduled doesn't mean there will always be food! On each pickup day, one of our volunteers simply gives Reverie a call. If there's surplus available, they head over, pick it up and deliver it directly to the nonprofit. 🚗

That last part matters.

Our nonprofit partners don't have to send a staff member across town to pick up a donation or step away from the work they're already doing. Our volunteers bring the food right to them, so their teams can stay focused on serving their clients.

Some days there's plenty to recover. Some days there's nothing. Either way, the plan is already in place when good food becomes available.

Years of partnership. A simple system. And some seriously good-looking pastries staying in circulation. 🥐❤️

Its the first day of Su***de Prevention Month, and I just wanted to take some time to highlight the importance of normalizing conversations surrounding su***de, and share some resources along the way.

If you live in Kansas, the Su***de Prevention Coalition has a great list of organizations and resources that you can call upon if you or someone you know is struggling.

Please please please share preventative resources and awareness this month. You never know whose feed its going to come across. Maybe a single post won't make a difference, but the collective efforts of an entire community just might be enough to help someone through a really difficult time.

Has anyone tried our "Long Shot" yet? This is a new style of coffee that we have started serving in the cafe this year. It sits somewhere between an americano, a pour over, and an espresso. Its about 3 and a half or 4 ounces of beverage, and we serve rotating single origin coffees. It's absolutely delicious. For those of you who were sad that we stopped serving pour overs, this just might fill that niche that you've been craving!

Work starts today on a Douglas Avenue overhaul project in Midtown. The City of Wichita project aims to make the street safer for pedestrians with new turn lane, bike lanes and parking.

I dont wanna hear any of that "It's August, Halloween is two whole months away!"

Our Fall Menu is here and that gives me permission to shift all of my energy towards Halloween-based marketing 🍂🍫👻🍁🎃💀🧙‍♀️🍂👽🍁🤖!

But forreal, our Fall menu is off the charts this year! Im so excited for you all to try these drinks.

We're bringing back one of the favs, our Earl Grey Pecan latte. The nuttiness and bergamot blend together so perfectly with our Boneshaker espresso bean that has both citrus and dark chocolate notes.

A newer creation is our Spiced Date latte, Ive been drinking these all week. The subtle fruity notes that stay on your tongue after sipping leave my mouth watering and wanting more!

Our barista special this month is a lovely cranberry ginger cold brew with cream. A nice and refreshing, on the go drink (in my opinion).

Finally, the star of the show... the one that people wait for all year...

Our Fall Spice latte is back and better than ever with a brand new recipe. And this year we're offering a pumpkin cold foam that you can top any of our specialty drinks with (but especially recommend it for the Fall spice and Spiced Date lattes.

Note: the cute cup doodles and the Cranberry Ginger syrup were both created by Katie, who is also the current artist showing in the Reverie cafe.
