Does anybody remember getting those tiny loaves of bread at the old Wonder Bread stores?

When I was a kid, going to the Wonder Bread store was always a treat. I can still remember that smell of fresh bread when you walked through the door.

But those little miniature loaves they handed out to kids? Those were the best part.
There was just something about getting your own little loaf of bread that made an ordinary trip to the store feel special.

It's funny how you can forget a thousand things from your childhood, but something as simple as a tiny loaf of bread sticks with you.

What little things did businesses do when you were a kid that you still remember today?

It's been a little too quiet around here this week. 👀

We get it. It's rainy, it's cooler, and staying home in your sweatpants sounds pretty good.

But have you considered putting on those sweatpants, getting in your car, and coming to get cheesecake? 😂

Because while you've been hiding from the weather, we've been busy filling this case with some pretty ridiculous desserts.

And trust us, the couch will still be there when you get back.

Well, would you look at that. It's National Dessert Day!

A whole day dedicated to what we do every single day.

Cheesecake? In more flavors than we can keep track of.
Cannoli? Filled fresh when you order.
Tiramisu? Of course.
Strawberry cups filled with our house made chocolate? Yep.
Six layers of Eva's decadent chocolate cake? We've got that too.

We're not saying you HAVE to celebrate National Dessert Day.

But skipping it when there's an entire case full of desserts right here seems a little disrespectful to the holiday. 😂

Just a little reminder that Wichita has a pretty sweet spot on Oliver. 😎

And we're not talking about your average dessert case.

We're talking cheesecakes in flavors you didn't know you needed, cannoli filled fresh, house-made ice cream, and enough dessert options to make stopping in for "just one thing" a terrible plan.

But hey, there are worse problems to have. 😂

We're not trying to be W***y Wonka, and we're definitely not Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Cheesecakes. 😂

But we do like to have a little fun!

We've made PB&J, Mango Habanero, Strawberry Basil Lemonade, Fluffernutter, and plenty of other unusual cheesecakes over the years.

And October is no exception!

Butterbeer: Butter, butterscotch, and vanilla cheesecake sprinkled with yellow sugar.

Candy Corn: Marshmallow, honey, and vanilla cheesecake topped with whipped cream and a piece of candy corn.

Sometimes the strangest ideas turn into some pretty amazing cheesecakes!

This is what the part of the cheesecake business nobody sees looks like.

You're looking at roughly 400 mini cheesecake pans. Washed, dried, stacked, and waiting to do it all over again.

Here's how our days tend to go:
We walk in and make 600 cheesecakes. The next morning, we think we're in pretty good shape until we see what sold. Now we need to make another 500.
Every once in a while, we get an easy day and only have to make 300.
But then tomorrow? Back to 600. 😂

And every single one of those cheesecakes has to be made, baked, cooled, decorated, packaged or put in the case.

Then the pans get washed and the whole process starts again.

It's a never-ending game of trying to stay ahead of the sales. 😂❤️

And we wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, Wichita, for keeping us busy!

Monday is over. We have cheesecakes now. 😂

The case is loaded, the doors open at noon, and we’re officially back at it for another week.

And if your Tuesday could use a little improvement, I can think of at least a dozen ways to handle that. 👆

The October takeover has officially started.

Our new flavors are ready, but we’re not tossing perfectly good cheesecake just because the calendar changed. 😂

So as the last of September’s flavors make their way out of the case, these four will be taking their spots:

🍬 Candy Corn
🍏 Poison Apple
🎃 Pumpkin
⚡ Butterbeer

That means you might catch a little overlap for a bit. If there’s a September flavor you’re still hanging onto, now would be the time. And if you’ve been waiting for October, they’re starting to roll in.
