It’s been a minute since I’ve done one of these bad boys!!

I figured it was about time I reintroduced myself to anyone who doesn’t know the face behind all the sugar!

Hi! I’m Lauren — a mom, nanny, baker, fitness girly, foodie, and someone who apparently doesn’t believe in having just one thing going on at a time.

A little peek into my life outside of the kitchen:

First and foremost, I’m a mama to my little girl, who keeps life equal parts chaotic and wonderful.

I’ve also been a nanny for almost 8 years! Spending my days with kids and my nights making cakes means there is rarely a dull (or quiet) moment. But I can genuinely say that I love my job.

I love a good workout, was a college athlete and love lifting heavy things, and apparently signing myself up for things that make me question my life choices — hello, HYROX.

And then there’s baking. My brain is basically always creating. A cake design, a new dessert idea, a random project I’ve convinced myself needs to happen immediately… I’m happiest when my hands are busy. I have my parents to thank me for following that dream when I was 16 by sending me to Johnson and Wales culinary camp. I immediately knew that was where I wanted to go to school and those were some of my best years!

As for this little business of mine…

I think one of my favorite parts of baking is that I get to play a tiny role in some of the biggest moments in people’s lives. First birthdays, weddings, baby showers, milestones, and even the occasional “I just really wanted cake.”

There’s something pretty special about that.

Behind every order is usually a messy kitchen, a half-finished to-do list, a ridiculous number of buttercream-covered spatulas, and a girl who genuinely wants your cake to be everything you imagined.
