🎉 Today marks ONE YEAR of Sweet Memories! 🎉
One year ago today, my business license was officially approved, and I honestly can’t believe how much has happened since then. 💛
You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately. I’ve spent the past month traveling abroad for my full-time job, which has meant stepping away from the kitchen and social media for a bit. But even while traveling, I couldn’t stay away from one of my favorite things—baking! 😋
I’ve been fortunate to experience some pretty amazing foods and desserts on this trip, including a Bath bun & tea at a local café in England and learning how to make authentic French macarons from a French chef in France! 🇫🇷
Of course I had to bring a little Sweet Memories into the experience, so I made my macarons Wicked-inspired for my beautiful nieces. 💚🩷 I’m pretty happy with how my first-ever batch of macarons turned out!
One of the things I love most about baking is that there is always something new to learn. Different places, cultures, techniques and traditions all have a way of inspiring what happens in my kitchen, and I hope yours too. This year there have been so many firsts, plenty of learning along the way, and so many people who have encouraged and supported me as I continue to build this business.
THANK YOU to everyone who has ordered, shared my posts, recommended Sweet Memories to a friend, stopped by a market, cheered me on, or simply believed in what I’m building. You have been a very special part of this first year, and I’m incredibly grateful for all of you. 💛
And now that I’m home and back in the kitchen… it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving!! I’ll have my Thanksgiving order form ready in the next week or two, so keep an eye out for what will be available for pre-order! 🦃🍂
