New Schmear Campaign kicks off today to celebrate Pride Month!

RhubarbPeño Schmear, with stewed local rhubarb and our roasted jalapenos.

You know the drill: each purchase of RhubarbPeño schmear (dipper, toasted schmear, on a lox sando, tub, etc) costs an extra $1. At the end of Pride, we’ll take all those dollars and donate them to !

Glacier Q***r Alliance seeks to provide safe, positive spaces and community resources for LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and allies locally.

If this Memorial Day weekend was any indication, we’re in for an absolutely crazy summer. Here are a few helpful tips for our customers looking to make the most of their visit to the shop:

1. Get here early. Our little shop can only make so many bagels on any given day. We aim to sell out every day at 12:59pm, but sometimes we don’t make it past 10:30am. Being here at 8am ensures you’ll get what you want.

2. Check social media. As soon as we sell out, it gets posted to our story. Sometimes we’ll do midday updates to let you know what it’s looking like in the shop. Check here before venturing over!

3. Week days are a safe bet. On the rare occasion that we sell out on a weekday, it’s usually pretty late in the day. Weekday visits are pretty reliable when it comes to our full stock of goods.

4. Stock up! Bagels and English muffins freeze exceptionally well. We recommend slicing them, putting them in the freezer, then going straight to toaster every morning. And hey - they’re cheaper by the half dozen!

4. No preorders. We don’t do any preorders of any kind. Getting to the shop as early as possible gives you the best bet of getting the bagels or sandwiches that you want. That being said - buy us out! If you need 5 dozen bagels for a wedding or get together, be here at 8am and we’ll bag them all up with a smile! Send us home early!

Teacher Appreciation Week!

We’ll be opening 30 minutes early Monday through Friday this week just for folks wanting to pick up bagels for their favorite teachers’ lounge. Half dozens, dozens, large schmear tubs, and gift cards available for pickup until 8am when we’ll go full menu.

Bonus: let us know which school they’re headed to and we’ll give you 50% odd you schmear! That means if you buy a dozen bagels, one of your corresponding two schmear tubs is FREE. 7:30-8am only, please.

Out of the shop and in to the streets.

In solidarity with working class people engaged in labor struggles the world over, and in protest of actions taken by the current administration stripping rights and protections for working class people at every turn, Cutthroat Bagel Company will be joining tomorrow’s May Day Strike.

Collective action is the best tool that the working class has to resist the war on labor. Our labor is our lever to try and move the world. There are working people organizing all around you. It’s past time to join them.

Can’t be neutral on a moving train.

We’ve been getting some really nice feedback lately, including online reviews, face to face appreciation, and some surprising Best of Whitefish nominations. We’re pretty dang proud of what we do, and it means the world to have you guys on board for all of it.

We’ll be taking a spring break of our own starting this Sunday, April 5, and we will reopen Saturday, April 18.

Reminder that our bagels and English muffins freeze extremely well! We recommend slicing them before freezing so that you can go straight from the freezer to the toaster without a trip to the emergency room.

This one is a long time coming…

The English muffins are finally growing up! If you know the story, you know how much deliberation went in to this decision. We’ve fully committed to the new 4” size and they’re a fantastic size compliment to our bagels.

If you’ve been a fan of our English muffin breakfast sandwiches, you may notice the price increase as the new size is able to hold to she same amount of bacon and egg as their bagel brethren.

If you haven’t tried our English muffins, disregard all of this and come grab one!

We’re coming up on our 1 year anniversary at the shop!

This Saturday, March 14th is our birthday and we’re so excited to celebrate. In preparation for a flavorful weekend, we want to know what y’all’s favorite schmears have been!

Perfectly imperfect. You’ll hear me say it to my crew about our product. In an age of computer generated pancakes and AI cheeseburgers, an imperfectly shaped bagel says something to our customer:

A person made this with their hands. A human being trying to achieve perfect bagels did the most human thing they could do. They created something beautifully imperfect.

So we celebrate the misfits and the oddballs. The nonconformists and the misshapen. Life’s pretty boring without the weirdos.
