In an effort to stay open a little later every day, we’re going to be raising the price of half dozens and dozens going forward. A full dozen will now cost the price of 11 bagels, and a half dozen will be full price for 6.

Making bangin’ sandwiches all day and selling out at 12:45 is a lot of fun and is the ideal situation. Having to turn folks away at 10:30 from a bagel shop is awkward and definitely not fun. We choose to have fun.

At the end of the day, bulk discounts disproportionally benefit the bourgeois, and that’s just not our bag, baby. More sandwiches for the people.

We’ll be closing on Wednesdays, probably for the rest of the summer. A midweek break to catch up on things around the shop and tip the work/life balance in a more sustainable direction. We appreciate our customers for understanding that we don’t sacrifice quality for, well, anything.

Zephy needs more time to prep, Kelly needs a day to roll without listening to my jam bands, John needs to connect some freckles, and I need to catch a friggin fish.

The real “workhorse” of our menu: the Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich. We’ll churn out over 300 of them on a normal weekend shift, each and everyone to order.

Aficionados will tell you that the sandwiches are even better after sitting in their foil for 15+ minutes, but I’ve never been able to resist them that long. I’ll have to take their word.

The best things about summer are usually the simplest:
sunshine, huckleberries, dirt roads. And our new Tomato Sandwich!

Sliced heirloom tomatoes, a little olive oil, and a heavy hit of salt and pepp, sitting on your favorite Cutthroat bagel and schmear combo (we recommend a Salted and Rhubarb Jalapeño). Everything you need, nothin’ you don’t.

New Schmear Campaign kicks off today to celebrate Pride Month!

You know the drill: each purchase of RhubarbPeño schmear (dipper, toasted schmear, on a lox sando, tub, etc) costs an extra $1. At the end of Pride, we’ll take all those dollars and donate them to !

If this Memorial Day weekend was any indication, we’re in for an absolutely crazy summer. Here are a few helpful tips for our customers looking to make the most of their visit to the shop:

1. Get here early. Our little shop can only make so many bagels on any given day. We aim to sell out every day at 12:59pm, but sometimes we don’t make it past 10:30am. Being here at 8am ensures you’ll get what you want.

2. Check social media. As soon as we sell out, it gets posted to our story. Sometimes we’ll do midday updates to let you know what it’s looking like in the shop. Check here before venturing over!

3. Week days are a safe bet. On the rare occasion that we sell out on a weekday, it’s usually pretty late in the day. Weekday visits are pretty reliable when it comes to our full stock of goods.

4. Stock up! Bagels and English muffins freeze exceptionally well. We recommend slicing them, putting them in the freezer, then going straight to toaster every morning. And hey - they’re cheaper by the half dozen!

4. No preorders. We don’t do any preorders of any kind. Getting to the shop as early as possible gives you the best bet of getting the bagels or sandwiches that you want. That being said - buy us out! If you need 5 dozen bagels for a wedding or get together, be here at 8am and we’ll bag them all up with a smile! Send us home early!

Teacher Appreciation Week!

We’ll be opening 30 minutes early Monday through Friday this week just for folks wanting to pick up bagels for their favorite teachers’ lounge. Half dozens, dozens, large schmear tubs, and gift cards available for pickup until 8am when we’ll go full menu.

Bonus: let us know which school they’re headed to and we’ll give you 50% odd you schmear! That means if you buy a dozen bagels, one of your corresponding two schmear tubs is FREE. 7:30-8am only, please.

In solidarity with working class people engaged in labor struggles the world over, and in protest of actions taken by the current administration stripping rights and protections for working class people at every turn, Cutthroat Bagel Company will be joining tomorrow’s May Day Strike.

Collective action is the best tool that the working class has to resist the war on labor. Our labor is our lever to try and move the world. There are working people organizing all around you. It’s past time to join them.

Can’t be neutral on a moving train.
