Hummingbird Bread is a delightful, tropical twist on traditional banana bread. It is inspired by the classic Southern "Hummingbird Cake," which originated in Jamaica (where it was known as "Doctor Bird Cake").

It is perfectly acceptable and delicious as a breakfast treat or coffee complement and typically features a moist, spiced banana base enhanced with crushed pineapple, applesauce, raisins, and pecans. Don't want the nuts? I have a few without nuts just for you.

Pick up a couple of mini loaves. Save the regret of running out of just one! 🐦❤️😋

For all of my Pretzel lovers, today at the Alderson Farmers Market is not the day for Pretzel Bites. I'm beginning to think they're cursed! They didn't want to rise today, so we'll try again next time. 🥹

Tuesdays in Alderson.

Tuesday is right around the corner. Come out and visit us at the Alderson Farmers Market for fresh vegetables from The Barefoot Farmers , goat milk, cheeses and rabbit meat from K&M Farm LLC, baked bread from Crust & Crumb Breads and fresh meats from M&M Heritage Farms. We also have fresh eggs, plants, tupperware and more. Tuesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Alderson Community Pavillion.
