Local Peeps. Tomorrow is the 70th Annual John H. Enders Fire Co. Yard Party & Chicken BBQ. As a part of this event, they do a cake sale and this beauty will be there for the taking. It’s a dark chocolate cake with Vanilla Bean Buttercream topped with the seasons best berries. Head on over tomorrow for a great cause!!

Ya’ll. I struggled this week. Struggled may not be a strong enough word. But, I made it. And so did you and that’s reason enough to celebrate. Tomorrow’s drop off includes Banana Crunch muffins (for those of you being healthy-ish), Smores Cupcakes (for those of you wishing for a little more warmth, like I am), Biscuits with Apple Butter (because who doesn’t love biscuits?) and Banana Pudding (for all you loyalists out there) Here’s hoping next week is a little easier!

Last drop off for 2020 tomorrow. No offense, but I’m glad to see this year go. To all of you - Thank you. For coming out, for showing up, for supporting local and just being pretty darn amazing. I felt the love this year. ❤️

For tomorrow I hope you’re all having champagne.... all day, and if so, these should pair nicely. Hummingbird Cupcakes and Chocolate Salted Caramel Tarts. For New Year’s Day, toss a blueberry muffin at the kids and call breakfast good enough. And finally for those of you missing your favorite standbys, there’s also Oatmeal Cream Pies and Banana Pudding.

Merry Christmas all! The last of the cookie boxes will be dropped off later morning. This week I’m adding these beauties to the mix: Mounds Bars and Chocolate Peppermint Sugar Cookies. I’ll also be dropping off some red velvet cupcakes. Keep these babies in the fridge if you want them for Christmas - just be sure to let them come to room temp before enjoying! Post 2. Some of you know that every year we host an Open House. It’s one of my favorite Holiday traditions. The kids decorate and bake their own sugar cookies and there’s always a ton of baked goods. Since 2020 pretty much sucks - we canceled this years event. But - that means I get to share some of it with you. For the rest of the month, I’ll be dropping off Cookie Boxes. Each box will be a little different, filled with as much as it will hold. Here’s a sampling menus years past, and what you might find included: Chocolate Gobs, White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal, Peanut Clusters, Brown Butter Snickerdoodles, Double Ginger Cookies, Nutella Truffles, Hot Chocolate Cookies, Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Cookies, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Mounds Bars and maybe even Nutella Stuffed Cookies. I’ve been terrible at posting this week, but here’s what you can find at the market this weekend. Chocolate cupcakes, Hummingbird Cupcakes, Pumpkin Cupcakes, Brown Butter Pecan Pies, Candy Bar Blondies (with Snickers and M&M’s this week), Apple Pie Bars, Oatmeal Cream Pies and of course.... Banana Pudding.

Don’t forget my pro-tip on blondies and brownies: pop the whole tray (minus the lid) into the microwave. Heat for 15-30 seconds and plop some ice cream right on top. Perfect ending to a stress filled week.

So. About a week ago we did a thing... and that thing involved Epcot. Yes. That Epcot. Anyway - while there, in Germany, I had something that ranks in my Top 10. Like ever. If you guys know me well enough to know my dining history, then you’ll get me on this. They had a Caramel Gingerbread Cookie Sandwich. Guys. This thing was INSANE. Like so good I ate the ENTIRE thing before anyone even knew I had it. I didn’t fess up to it until tonight. Anyway. This post is getting long.... but to the punch line - I re-created it!!! I put up a solid first attempt and they will be available tomorrow for sampling. I’ll share my modifications for the next batch in the comments - but welcome your thoughts if you happen to snag one this weekend!!
