With First Friday being canceled, MADE in HOUSE | Pottery Studio & Creative Gathering Place invited me out to still set up in our usual spot and y’all STILL came out and almost sold me out!!! 🥹

I came home with just a few loaves left, so if you need your sourdough fix, shoot me a message and I’ll get you taken care of!!

Seriously, thank you SO much to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a loaf, cinnamon roll, cookie, or just came to say hi. I’m beyond grateful for y’all!!

Welllllll… First Friday was officially canceled tonight because of the rain 🥲

BUT myself and by GINH | Ceramics Made For Hands, Hearts, & Home ✨ are still going to pop up in our usual spot right on the corner of 6th Avenue & Main Street! 🤎

I totally understand the decision to keep everyone safe, but last-minute event cancellations can be really tough on small businesses. So since we’re already here and ready to go, we figured WHY NOT?!!

So PLEASE come see us!!!

We’ve got plenty of sourdough, cinnamon rolls & cookies, and we’d love to see you!!!

A little heads up before orders open tomorrow! 🤍

You’ll notice a small price change on my cinnamon rolls moving forward. I’ve been working really hard behind the scenes to make sure my pricing actually reflects the cost of making them and allows me to keep growing The Sourdough Mill.

I’ve been doing this for 3 years and have never increased my prices, so trust me when I say I do NOT take this lightly

I know nobody loves a price increase (including me), but I’ve gotten to a point where I have to make sure I’m actually making money on the things I’m selling and not just working myself into the ground.

I’m so thankful for y’all and for every single person who continues to support my little bakery 🫶

Tomorrow is the start of the October menu and I’ve got some fun fall goodies coming your way! 🍂🎃

I want to do something a little special with next week’s porch pickup.

One of my regular customers, Katie, has a daughter named Cora who was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was just 4 years old. Thankfully, Cora is now cancer-free!!

Her sister, Mckenna, is participating in the Nashville Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer fundraiser this year to raise money for cancer research and better treatments for kids like Cora.

So next week, I’ll be donating 15% of all porch pickup sales to Mckenna’s fundraiser! 🫶🏼

If you were already planning on grabbing some bread next week, you can get your sourdough AND help support a really important cause. And if you don’t need anything, I’d still love for y’all to check out Mckenna’s fundraiser and share it!

Thank y’all for always supporting my little bakery and for being such a generous community. It means so much to be able to use The Sourdough Mill to give back too. 🤍

I truly don’t even have the words 🥹

This morning, The Sourdough Mill won BOTH categories we were nominated for at the Robertson County Main Street Awards - Best Dessert and Best Bakery.

The last year has been such a whirlwind. I’ve been navigating motherhood for the first time, growing this little business, and then just a month ago, getting laid off from my 9-5. I had no idea what this year was going to look like or where The Sourdough Mill would take me.

I am just so incredibly grateful. Grateful for every single person who has ordered bread, shared a post, told a friend, come to a market, or supported this little bakery in any way.

I truly would not be here without y’all.

Thank you for letting me bake for you and your families week after week, and thank you so much to everyone who took the time to vote for The Sourdough Mill.

I’m still in shock. Just really, really grateful.
