🄧🫐 NEW Vegan Mixed Berry Mini Pies! 🫐🄧

One question I get all the time is: ā€œDo you offer vegan or gluten-free pastries?ā€

The answer is yes! While most of my vegan and gluten-free items are typically available by custom order, I’m excited to share that these Mixed Berry Mini Pies are made with a vegan crust and filled with a delicious blend of raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

I’ve found that vegan and gluten-free pastries don’t always sell at the my markets, which is why I usually make them by request. But this year, I’ll be offering select pie flavors with vegan options throughout the season! And you can pick these up every Saturday!!

If you’re looking for vegan or gluten-free pastries, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can place a custom order through my website or send me a direct message, and I’d be happy to make a fresh batch just for you.

Just ask! I’m always happy to work with you to get your favorite treats where you need them🄧

This was the second week of in our new location (White Center) and the turnout was phenomenal!!šŸ™ŒšŸ¾ These were the best one-day markets I’ve ever done, selling over 150 pastries in 4 hours!

I got to see so many familiar faces, including returning customers and vendors, as well as so many new people who didn’t know about our market until we switched to our new locations. But this market is one my favorites if not my favorite market to participate in because of the community.

Can’t wait to see everyone throughout this entire season. I’ll be at Delridge every single week through the end of October so please stop by when you get a chance to really experience, real community. šŸ¤ŽšŸ–¤šŸ¤Ž

I received an email about five minutes ago from the Annie Wright School in Tacoma that my participation in their market has been canceled last minute. And it was because someone at the school complained about the mislabeling of one of my products. I was never told that it was ever being investigated just last minute that was canceled

isn’t just about desserts; it’s about community. As a Black woman-owned business, I intentionally show up in Black & BIPOC-centered spaces where we uplift each other, build together, and create something real in a world that doesn’t always make room for us.

My recipes come from generations of Southern baking, passed down from my mother and grandmother, with my own twist (you already know that sweet potato pie hits different with the citrus + ginger).

Every purchase supports not just my business, but a bigger mission: mutual aid, visibility, and love for our communities.

Pull up, bring a friend, and come get something sweet šŸŖāœØAnd download the Too Good to Go app to get deals on pastries that don’t sell!

Since my post yesterday, a lot of you saw me speaking honestly about the racism I’ve experienced as a Black small business owner. I want to add more context, because some assumptions being made couldn’t be further from the truth.

I am very intentional about where I vend, who I build community with, and how I give back through my business. And no… my business is not struggling because white people ā€œwon’t buy from me.ā€ In fact, the last 6 months have included some of my highest sales days ever, with pop-ups where I’ve cleared over $1,000 and consistent inquiries from businesses across King County and Pierce County asking me to cater events and meetings.

One of the markets I’m most proud to call home is the , this will be my 4th year there. I have a diverse and supportive customer base, including many white customers. The difference? They acknowledge me. They see me as a human being. They engage, they respect my presence, whether they buy or not.

What I spoke about in my last post is something different: the reality that in some spaces, especially in parts of downtown Seattle, I’ve been treated like I don’t belong. Like I’m invisible. Like I’m ā€œbeggingā€ instead of running a legitimate business. And that experience is real, and it matters.

Before I even started my business, I experienced this ā€œprogressiveā€ style of racism in the workplace after moving to Washington 12 years ago for my master’s in forensic psychology, being hired for roles I was qualified for, only to be pushed out within a year by managers who simply ā€œdidn’t like me.ā€ That pattern is part of what pushed me to bet on myself in 2020. I used my stimulus checks and personal savings to build something of my own.

Now, entering year six, I’ve built strong relationships across Seattle, Tacoma, and beyond, especially within the BIPOC community. But let’s be real: anti-Blackness and racism exist here too, even in places that pride themselves on being progressive. Ignoring it doesn’t make it go away. And that’s the difference. I’m speaking on. Thank you to everyone for your support!
