Story time.
One of my best clients orders a cake. The request was a halloween theme. She sent many cute pictures, for inspo, all with pink and light colors, little ghosts, candy decorations, cute little fun Halloween kid cakes. I ask her, because she has many grandchildren and I am honestly always confused, so which of your granddaughters name goes on this one 🤔. She tells me noooooo. It's for My daughter the mom!!!
It's been a tradition in this family for many years when she was little to celebrate her with decorated Halloween cakes, and we want to recreate that. She has also requested we all wear our costumes.
When I delivered the cake I got to see awesome pictures of this tradition.

Uno de mis mejores clientes pide una tortal. La petición era un tema de Halloween. Envió muchas fotos lindas, para el inspo, todas con colores rosa y claro, pequeños fantasmas, decoraciones de dulces, lindos pasteles para niños de Halloween. Y le pregunto, porque ella tiene muchos nietos y, honestamente, siempre estoy confundida, así que cuál de los nombres de sus nietas va en esta 🤔. Ella me dice noooooooo. ¡¡¡Es para Mi hija/la mamá!!!
Ha sido una tradición en esta familia durante muchos años cuando era pequeña celebrarla con tortas decoradas de Halloween, y queremos recrearle ese momentos. También ha pedido que todos usemos nuestros disfraces.
Cuando entregué el cake pude ver un album de fotos de esta tradición.

A mix between modern and classic. This cake was for a dear friend who won my heart back in 2011 when I first came to the USA. She was my first child's teacher in preK, and then she became the school director when I came back in 2013. Years after, I saw her guiding the parents at an ESOL meeting when my son was in middle school. I have had the pleasure to run a few milles with her with .
Monica is so special her running team gave her a nice cake. By me :) instructions were. She loves the color violet, she is turning 60, make it running inspired. So the happy birthday is made like a running medal. And I like to think that the squiggly line is the running path.
It was so nice to make Monica's cake.

Una mezcla entre lo moderno y lo clásico. Esta torta era para un querida amiga que me roboʻ el corazón en 2011 cuando llegué por primera vez a los Estados Unidos.
