Bonsoir mon amis,

A full day today. We accomplished everything we needed to do, and it only took 11k steps!

✅ Double checked the reservations at Hotel Quinzerie
(they have been wonderful to work with).
✅ Scoped out a beautiful location for our rosé tasting.
✅ Had a refreshing Menthe Verte l'Eau (pictured).
✅ Secured glassware for our Champagne reception.
✅ Firmed up plans for or day trip to Epernay.

Our guests are all set!

Everyone arrives tomorrow morning, and we all will meet for a rooftop aperitif at 1600!

Greetings from Paris!

It was just one year ago this week that I closed the bakery and the Croo set off for a week in Paris. And what a wonderful trip it was! Thank you to everyone who followed along with us on FB and IG. Your comments of support and encouragement meant so much to us. Much to my surprise, we had quite a few customers who expressed interest in joining us on such an adventure, and we thought… Why not?

So Corey and I are at it again! Sadly, the Croo remains behind this trip to mind the shop, so we're not closing. Instead, we are traveling with 10 wonderful guests who have entrusted us to share an experience similar to the one the Croo enjoyed last summer.

Introducing "Culinary Delights & Historical Sights", A Week in Paris with an Historian and a Somm! A fun week of delicious food, wine and historical discoveries. Our itinerary will include several "greatest hits" from last summer's trip as well several new places Corey and I scouted out when we went back to Paris last October to plan this trip. Here are some of the highlights:

• A cooking class at the Ritz Escoffier
• A visit to Champagne Boizel in Epernay
• Dinner at Beurre Noisette
• A visit to Suresnes, the American WW1 Cemetery
• Lunch at Pere Lapin
• Champagne Sabrage overlooking the Paris skyline.
• Printemps Rosé tasting in the Jardin des Tulleries
• An evening cruise on the river Seine
• Walking tours of Paris's known and little known monuments

Corey and I have arrived a few days early to finalize reservations and secure Metro passes and train tickets before our guests arrive on Monday.

Please feel free to tag along again as I share our adventure on social media. The weather forecast looks great, and our busy schedule leaves plenty of free time for taking in bucket-list Paris "musts". It's going to be a blast!

Sicilian Wine Tasting and Dinner

I just learned that a wine colleague of mine, Penny Murray, Export Director for the renown Sicilian producer Aziende Agricole Planeta, will be in town and has offered to lead us through a tasting of her amazing wine portfolio!

This evening was scheduled to be a "Westminster 1st Wednesday Dinner", but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to showcase these wines and introduce Penny and the wines of Planeta to our community!

This tasting will be in the traditional JeannieBird format - 5 different Planeta wines, included in the cost of the tasting. The wines will be complimented by a wonderful a-la-carte menu of small plate savories & sweets that Chef's Hannah & Tom are already busy putting together, so get ready to share, snack, graze, or chow down!
All wines served at the tasting will be available for purchase at a 15% discount on the night of the event for your enjoyment, entertainment and gift-giving!
Online only reservations will open at 9:00A on Wednesday February 25th at 9:00A, at JeannieBird.com, so CLICK HERE to make your reservation!
All reservations are SEAT SPECIFIC, meaning the seat you select at the time of your reservation will be where you will sit on the night of the event. Seats are clearly marked as CHAIR or STOOL.

PSST... I was able to grab 6 375ml bottles of the Honig Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc we served at the wine dinner when Michael Honig was in town, and this new Apulian white from Ulisse made from the SUPER obscure Cococciola grape is absolutely stunning(3maps and two flashlights for sure!). It is sure to level-up Chef Tom's jumbo lump crabcakes.
