There’s just something about a quiet morning, a freshly baked loaf, the soft glow of sunrise, and a little fall candle flickering nearby. These are the slow moments I’m learning to savor. The peaceful ones tucked between the busy days. There’s something so comforting about the smell of sourdough filling the kitchen while the sun comes up. A little reminder to slow down, breathe, and be grateful for what’s right in front of us. (God is so good)

And speaking of Fallllllllll… I’ve been in the kitchen working on some new fall flavors for Flour & Faith, and I cannot wait to share what I’ve been dreaming up. They’re coming soon! 👀🍂

Every Wednesday before my husband heads back offshore, I bake him a fresh loaf of sourdough to take with him. It’s a small tradition that has become one of my favorite ways to say, “I love you. Thank you.”

He’s spent so much of his time off working to turn the space above our garage into a beautiful bedroom for our daughter. He poured so much hard work into giving her a space that feels like her own, and watching it all come together has been such a blessing. (He jokes often about how he is ready to go back to work so he can finally “relax” 🤣)

Yesterday we spent the entire day cleaning, organizing, and hauling every last thing upstairs. Let’s just say… we are definitely feeling 39 today. 😂 He works incredibly hard offshore, comes home, and somehow finds the energy to pour himself right back into us.

So today’s loaf is more than just bread. It’s my way of sending a little piece of home with him and saying thank you for loving us so well.

(Side note: how gorgeous is this garlic and rosemary loaf? 😍)

If you are anything like me, August 1st means the Fall decor boxes are getting unpacked, those pumpkin candles are getting lit, and it’s time to binge watch Gilmore Girls from season 1 (even though I watch it year round.)

AND because my favorite season is only weeks away, I am going to let YOU decide what should be added to my Fall menu. Comment your favorite cozy flavors of cookie or sourdough and they just may become part of the menu!
