yesterday completed our second summer market season at Roudenbush community market and what a great season we had! I launched pleasant street bread at this market in July 2025 and we have come such a long way in a year. This year I was able to bring more bread each week and still sold out every week (even when the market was cancelled due to rain!).

this is a true labor of love for me and while I won’t miss the 4am wake ups, I will miss getting to see and get to know customers every week. I am so incredibly grateful for the response and support we’ve received- I think the nicest people in the world must somehow all live in Westford.

now that market season is over, we will transition back to weekly preorders and pick ups in forge village. the schedule is changing a bit this year with pick up days moving to Wednesdays from 3-7, and preorders will be live Sunday and Monday. anyone who wants to stay updated on preorders can click the link in bio and sign up for notifications and you’ll receive a text/email when orders go live.

unfortunately the roudenbush market was cancelled today due to weather, but we still have LOTS of fresh baked bread for sale today and are offering porch pick up or delivery. use the link in bio to order for pick up/delivery TODAY.

our new Italian herbs and cheese loaf is on the menu and made with imported Parmesan, aged Cabot cheddar and Italian herb blend. it’s great for beach sandwiches!

whenever someone asks me what my favorite flavor or item is, the answer is always our plain organic sourdough loaf. call it boring- but it’s the literal bread and butter of our tiny business. it has a crispy golden crust and very subtle sourdough tang that’s only achieved by long fermentation. this loaf features only three ingredients: organic flour, bread and water. grocery store sourdough’s use commercial yeast, citric acid to mimic the sour flavor, and multiple preservatives. once you try real sourdough it’s impossible to go back!

ok, it took us two weeks to thaw out but we’re back with our regular tuesday pick up schedule, and have a new flavor. try our double chocolate sourdough loaf- it’s the deep winter pick me up you didn’t know you needed. cocoa powder and semi-sweet chocolate chips make this rich and chocolatey but not too sweet. top your toast with peanut butter for a peanut butter cup in bread form, make an insane chocolate french toast, or just eat this one plain (this is what we do).
