Our bakery provides traditional Scandinavian goods like rosettes, krumkake, sandbakkels, kransekakes, lefse, & limpa, as well as scones, pies, muffins, & cookies.

**Please do not send Facebook messages with order enquiries. A bakery that started as a joke, then turned into construction work in the backyard, and became a fully-certified local bakery in Westby, Wisconsin. Located in the Driftless Valley Region, we are surrounded by organic farms, beautiful views, and warm people who have supported this idea before we were even sure it was an idea. The married bakers Joyce Quarnstrom and Gordon Vande Voorde hail from South Dakota, but transplanted themselves to Westby over 20 years ago. Both are heavily influenced by the traditional baking of their mothers and fathers - German, Scandinavian, and Belgian recipes are those most often seen in the bakery. Their daughter, Emma, does try to bring some modernity to the business with design influence and a few trips to London, Norway, and Germany to bring back more recipes. A family-run business that has been featured locally and nationally (La Crosse Tribune, Westby Times, Edible Madison, Norwegian American Magazine), we also supply other local businesses with baked goods.

Ho ho ho ho and merry holiday season! A post-Thanksgiving snow dump sure has us in the spirit quickly this year 🍪☃️

It seems that there’s been some confusion with our post from last year announcing that we had to close the books on orders. To clarify, we ARE still taking orders for the 2025 holiday season!

Please call or email us your orders (our daughter manages our social media for us but Chicago is an awful long distance to ship cookies from so she can’t help as much!) and we’ll let you all know when we’re full again this year - earlier is always better to make sure we’ve got you covered 😉🤭

Hello to our fellow holiday treat seekers 🤩

With spooky season officially in the rearview, we just wanted to remind everyone to get your orders placed soon for both 🦃 Thanksgiving 🦃 and 🎄Christmas🎄!

Our books always fill up quickly, and once we get closer to the date it’s hard to guarantee any leftovers for walk-ins 😉

Friends, family, angels, and snowmen (conspicuously missing this Christmas): THANK YOU so much for your support this year! We’ve been a little silent on here because we’re been up to our elbows in all the beautiful treats you’ve ordered.

We have stopped taking orders for the year and if you’ve tried to come in to get something without an order, we’re so sorry! It’s been our busiest year yet and we have nothing to spare (not even for the bakers!).

You may have noticed that we are no longer listing hours here on our page. Don't worry, we're not going anywhere 😉 However, we are only going to be doing bake-to-order from now on due to inconsistency in walk-ins.

So just make sure you call or email ahead to place your order and let us know which day you'll be picking up!

Some bakers are short and are in it up to our knees!

Happy snow season, all ☃️ We just wanted to hop on here to first say thank you so much for all the support we've gotten this year! You're wonderful to support & shop local, and we appreciate it more than you know.

Second, we have actually received such an overwhelming amount of orders that we officially can no longer accept any more for Christmas this year. Thank you so much for filling our (still paper!) order books to the brim for the 2022 Christmas season. 🎄🥧🍪🎀
