JUNE 14, 2026, HAPPY FLAG DAY TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! We fly our flag every day not only because my husband is a veteran, but because we still believe in America the land of the free! It was a very busy week especially with taking orders for the last week in June, plus July (one weekend already completely booked), August and September. That's besides re-organizing a few areas in my bakery. When I'm really busy, I need to know exactly where something is. In order to know what is in a container, I have to label exactly what is in it. I get pretty exasperated when I have to search for a specific cookie cutter, or decoration and can't find it! I have to do this several times a year because I'm always buying some new stuff to add to my collections! When the inspector was here, he reminded me that my Food Managers Certificate expires at the beginning of March. I have to take it every 5 years to keep being certified. I have to really study for it because they change so much stuff in 5 years! UGH, that means doing it after I close for the day and on weekends! Luckily, I can do it in sections. Naturally, that's when everyone always needs me to do something. There's always something to do when you own your own business. Just a reminder, please pay attention to my store hours! I'm closed on Sunday, Monday and all holidays! I'm open from 8 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Friday, and from 9:30 am until 11:30 am on Saturday morning. NO EARLIER AND DEFINITELY NO LATER! That includes emails and text messages! I'm just like all of you; I can't wait until it's time to go home. That's my family time too! Remember to love the ones you're with and even strangers! JUNE 5, 2026, GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! I was inspected on May 29th, but I didn't receive my actual permit until Friday, June 5th. I was supposed to be inspected in March, but the inspector said that they were running behind schedule. I have been inspected by the health department once a year for the past 30 years. I was very busy this past week helping a family member pack their household belongings, clean the old house and move everything to their new home. In between all of that, I was taking orders for June, July, August and September. This week (June 9th through the 13th), and next week (June 16th through the 20th) are completely booked. Nope, I WILL NOT be taking any last-minute orders for those 2 weeks. This morning started our tree trimming project with "our volunteer family members"! I was happy to cook lunch for them. It will be continued next week! I have a lot of stuff to make for my cakes this week which will keep me very occupied. Just a reminder, I don't respond to any messages after hours during the week and weekend. My phone goes on charge because it needs to be recharged and so do I!!!! LOL Remember to be kind to each other! IT DOES MATTER!!! Stay safe and healthy!

May 30, 2026, GOOD SUNDAY MORNING TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their long weekend! I took advantage of it too! It doesn't seem like I had much to do but two of them took a while to decorate. I know that I am early this week, but I'm leaving in a little bit. Sometimes, I do go out and do other things with family. June is really starting to fill up so remember to order early! I will not be taking last minute orders! May 24, 2026, GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! This is the weekend that we need to remember all of those who gave their lives for us. Don't forget those that did come home but were never the same since then. This has been one of those weeks for sure. About 2 am yesterday morning the storm hit, and along with it the lights went out twice. I will put this very nicely! I was not happy at all! That did not help when I was putting the finishing touches on the cakes!!! It was stressful enough without that happening. If it would have kept up, I was going to make my husband stay home from work just in case the power went out completely! Someone was definitely watching over us because the storm ended and the power stayed on! Just a reminder that I will not be taking last minute orders or make any changes to the present week's orders! Getting my cake boxes and boards in on time has been nerve wrecking at times, especially when it's delayed again!! Changing a cake size might mean that I don't have the board, box or both for it. Since this is a longer weekend, I will be taking advantage of it for sure. Remember to order early! Take care and stay healthy!! Don't forget to love the ones that are with you.

May 18, 2026, GOOD MORNING TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES!!! Sorry about the delay, but yesterday was FAMILY DAY for us. It was a very busy week with 6 dozen cookies plus the cakes and cupcakes! Remember I will not take last minute orders for cookies at all! Since they are very time consuming, I have to make sure that I have a special time that I can do this! Yes, I look at my week, and then I can schedule what I need to do on certain days! This also includes cake and cupcake orders too! In other words, all of my orders are set for the upcoming week at least a week or so ahead of time! That's why I keep saying to order ahead of time! Some of my customers order a month to two months ahead of time to make sure that they have secured the date. When I hit the limit for that week, then I don't take any more orders! May 9, 2026 GOOD MORNING TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES!! Belated Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts, other fill-ins for a mother and of course, the dads that have this responsibility as well. Mine was busy right away since everyone likes to come over to cook and bake some new recipe. I have the big ovens and plenty of big sinks! LOL I let them take over every time. I don't know about anyone else but the storm sorta kept me awake last night. Last Monday morning started off with those 2 - 100 serving HOLT CAT AND HOLT cakes being picked up at 8 am. It was crazy for the rest of the week. This week starts later but I have another 100-serving cake for Baylor Army ROTC Graduation going out. After that will be cookies galore and cakes! It's a very busy time of the year! Order early along with the deposit to guarantee your date. Otherwise, I will not be able to squeeze you in. I don't know about anyone else, but lately my orders have been delayed or misrouted. I think the automation thing is not working so well! Remember to love and be kind to each other. May 6, 2026, Good evening to all of my customers, friends and families. I just found out that there is a rumor going around that I am retired. Gee, I wish someone had told me that because lately I have been working long hours running this bakery!!! If I'm supposed to be retired, then who has been making all of the cakes and cookies that I have been posting every week. The last few months have been really hectic around here because my husband had hip replacement surgery. Thanks to our awesome daughter-in-law who is an RN, he was able to do all of his recovery here at home along with the help of our son. He is fully recovered and back at work. If you ever drive up during the day and the closed sign is still up, it's because I am really busy baking or decorating, and forgot to flip the sign. That's why you need to call or text me before you come. When I posted that I was taking time off several weeks ago, it was because I just needed some time off. I have no plans on retiring any time soon because this is the only life that I love. It may get hectic and crazy most of the time, but what else would I do. Plus, I don't think that HOLT CAT (all 3 places), Lipsitz and TYMCO, among other businesses, would want me to stop. Majority of my customers have been with me for a very long time. Now I am watching their children graduate, get married and have children of their own. By the way, this week, the weeks of May 15th and May 23rd are completely booked. May 30th is getting very full too. That's why I ask for the deposit right away to guarantee that day for you. I don't reply to texts, emails or phone calls after hour I'm in bed by 8 pm and up at 3 am. Sometimes, I have shorter nighttime hours than that. Let me know if you honestly think that is what everyone calls "retirement"! I was wondering why several people thought that I wasn't making cakes anymore. Thanks for letting me clear up this matter! May 3, 2026 GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! Yep, it's May already and the graduations are about to begin. As you can see, I got an unexpected call for a 100 serving cake. I was very busy with more orders being placed for May and June. This week Mother's Day weekend is completely booked. Don't even ask because I have 2-100 serving cakes going out tomorrow morning for HOLT CAT, plus quite a few cakes and cookies for the rest of the week. The week of May 16th is already booked with another 100 serving cake plus other cakes and a whole bunch of decorated cookies. The week of the 23rd is filling up very fast and so is the 30th. Of course, June is booking up too. Remember, a phone call doesn't guarantee your date unless the deposit is made the same day. Otherwise, I don't keep the estimate at all no exceptions! From now on, I will be asking for the approximate time of pickup for your order. Pickup time for Tuesday through Friday is 8 am until 5:30 pm. Pickup time for Saturday is 9:30 am until 11:30 am. There will be no earlier or later pickup times at all. Also, I don't answer any texts or phone calls outside of these hours anymore. I am just like everyone else! April 25, 2026, GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES! I don't think that I will ever have just a normal week! After 7:15 am on Tuesday morning, a side by side on a trailer was stolen from our neighbor's house which is 2 houses from us on the other side of the road. Besides the phone ringing off the hook about that, I had a last minute cake order for one of my companies. Also, people were calling to place their orders for May and June. So much for taking time off for myself. Most of the time, I didn't know if I was coming or going. Of course, that set the tone for the rest of the chaotic week. This will be another busy week. If you text, email or call me, please remember to mention the day that you need your order. That plus the serving size, flavor and picture of what you have in mind. The deposit has to be made at the time of the order. Otherwise, I don't have time to chase pieces of paper all over my desk. Always remember to be kind to each other. April 24, 2026 What a beautiful surprise this morning!!!! TYMCO, one of my businesses that I have done cakes for a long time, sent me this beautiful plant. It was in appreciation for a cake that they desperately needed for the next morning. It was very thoughtful and kind of them to do that. It brightened up my day for sure.
