May was a whirlwind of Mother’s Day, my birthday, and graduations, but it ended with one of my absolute highlights: making a wedding cake for the girl who was my own flower girl 18 years ago. 🤍

We are so blessed to have wonderful friends like Eric and Rachel. After having the honor of making their son’s wedding cake last year, it was incredibly special to do the same for Keira and Nolan’s big day.

Keira shared her vision with me, and we combined a sweet, romantic vintage Lambeth design with buttercream florals—mostly white blooms with a few Calla Lilies mixed in.

As a cake designer, I rarely get to be a guest and actually watch my cakes get cut, so whenever I get to be there for this moment, it is always the cherry on top.

Thank you, Keira and Nolan, for letting a little piece of me be a part of your beautiful day.

Honoring the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸
Thinking of my father-in-law’s service in Vietnam today. He shared some stories with my husband, but kept many to himself. I have so much respect for older generations—they’ve lived through so much history, and their experiences remind us to appreciate the lives and freedoms we have now.

The first picture is one of my favorits. 🤍 Seeing my family just enjoying themselves together always brings smiles and peace to my heart.

Motherhood is an incredible blessing, but let’s be real, it is not an easy task. Between running my own business and homeschooling, I often battle a heavy dose of “mom guilt.” Because I work so much, it sometimes feels like there isn’t enough time left over for just the “fun” moments with mom.

To all my fellow working mamas out there: I see you, and I want you to know that you are doing the absolute best you can. You are exhausted, yes, but those sleepless days and long hours are building something beautiful. We are working hard now in the hopes that we raise healthy, mature children who will one day have the wings to fly on their own, fully equipped to survive and thrive in this challenging world. ✨

I honestly couldn’t do any of this without the support of my wonderful husband, .
I’m also so blessed by my role model, my mom . She has shown me what it means to love deeply and give so much. I know I may never match what she’s done for us, but knowing I can always go to her for advice or just a good conversation means the world to me.

And Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful sister You are a wonderful mom who does so much for her kiddos, and I want to make sure you know just how appreciated you truly are.

A little slice of paradise in a box! 🏝️🧁

This Iowa weather has been totally teasing us lately, warm one day, chilly the next! Isn’t it crazy how 50 degrees feels like a heatwave in February, but practically freezing just a few months later? Give me a steady 70-75 degrees any day... but hey, we all know that is not the Iowa way! 😅🌤️

Since we can’t control the weather outside, we decided to bring the sunshine inside! We absolutely loved creating these fun, hand-piped hibiscus flowers for Sara’s beautiful Hawaiian luau birthday celebration. Wishing Sara the happiest of birthdays filled with tropical vibes and sweetness! 🌺✨
