Hello Friends!
Pizza man here.
I have hit an impasse in the Mass Appeal Pizza & Bread Co. project.in Warren.
As I had previously mentioned early in the year my lease in West Warren is up in January 2025.
When I mentioned this it was in hopes I could muster up enough business to regain confidence in this location and to begin the negotiations for a new and hopefully much longer lease so the project could continue.
With all the changes in my personal life after the accident my family was in I need to consider the future more critically than ever before.
When I asked you folks for continued support and to spread the word about our business I was absolutely amazed at how this community rallied around me! The feelings of support as well as the genuine care & concern of this community provided me with so much encouragement. With a few tweaks to the menu and your support the business was improving.
In May I believed I had enough confidence that I could sustain the business here and was prepared to make a plan that would lay the groundwork for a new lease. When working on these projects you need to have things in place well before the agreements expire so that there is reasonable time to make alternative plans if the negotiations fail to bring about a new favorable agreement for both parties. My personal deadline was 6 months prior to the expiration of the lease I would need to have these measures in place or begin to make other plans for the business. In May the discussions were short and unproductive and they did not improve in June.
By the middle of June it was obvious to me that the negotiations were stalled and likely not going to provide a productive outcome so I shifted to plan B. This Plan was to satisfy all my commitments here in Warren and to keep the location operational while being more hands off, amended hours and limited menus until the end of the lease mostly as an acknowledgment of my appreciation for All of your Support.
However this has been far more difficult than I imagined and I simply can’t continue to operate the business any longer. I was going to try and take a hiatus and return to operating in September as I had done last year but I have since decided to just pay the remaining rent each month and not operate while I focus on finding a new location.
I can’t Thank You enough my Friends for all the Love you’ve shown me and my family!
With Love ,
Jasper (Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizza Man)
