๊ง Let me re-introduce myself๊ง
As we prepare to start our 2023 season, I thought it best to ๐๐-๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ myself.
For those that are new, Iโm Gia, the owner of
I started this business in 2011, but my story started long before that.
The story behind the name:
I come from a long line of great cooks and as a young child growing up on the island of Trinidad & Tobago๐น๐น; Iโve always wanted to own my own Bakeshop/Cafeฬ. I would often play outside with our broken ovens and make pretend sand pies and mud cakes with my friends Willow & Olivia. On my seventh birthday, my mom asked me who I would like to invite to my birthday party and naturally, I said โWillow & Oliviaโ, to which my mom replied, โ Sweetie, I think itโs time I tell you that you do not have any friends named Willow or Olivia๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ (Yes, all those years I had been playing with my imaginary friends and NO ONE TOLD ME...the joys of island life I guess - creativity is always encouraged).๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
I told myself when I grew up if I had daughters I would name them Willow & Olivia...well, I was blessed with a boy ๐ถ๐ฝI then said I will name my business Willow & Olivia.
Fast forward to adult life when adulting GOT REAL. Suddenly, I was a single parent with a baby, working crazy hours, and feeling the effects mentally and physically of a life out of balance. So, I decided it was time to put all of my energy into creating a better life for us all while doing what I love and with that, Willow & Olivia was born!
In 2017 my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl who we named Willow Olivia (talk about universe listening!)
We take pride in being part of our local community and proudly support local businesses as well as our charity of cause Cancer, Childrenโs Cancer Foundations and LGBTQIA+ issues. Weโre also BLESSED to be able to help you CELEBRATE important milestones in your life!
I also say all of this today on MLK Day, because someone had hope for me and believed in me I can now BE THE CHANGE.

See, itโs easy to feel like youโre not moving as quickly as the other person appears to be moving.
Itโs easy to see all the challenges and not the end result.
Itโs easier to celebrate the BIG wins and not the minor ones.
Trust me, youโre harder on yourself than others are on you.

Day 8 and I'm happy to say I'm ok.
I'm ok with not being constant for a change.
Christmas at home has all been packed away and next week Christmas gets packed up at the shop.
I'm ok with not being constant for now.
