PARADISE FARM

Real farmers live and work on farms. Disabled adults should have the freedom of choice of where they would like to live and work. Many disabled individuals have expressed the desire to live and/or work on a farm setting. PARADISE FARM will provide just that place. The farm has not started yet. We are just in the beginning stages of talking and envisioning our possibilities (most of our photos are

from a real farm for the disabled in PA and a few are from other places we feel fit our model). We realize the STP (state transition plan) is an issue and we are hopeful that we still can create this setting. The land would be in northern New Jersey and we are waiting on the final approval from our partner (the land is a former camp and has a large pond). We are planning projects and playing with many ideas. We are taking all the best ideas that every farm offers and have many consultants. We dream big. They include: Houses. A greenhouse and garden. Animals. Homemade honey. Sheared wool. Crafts and creative arts. Baked goods. A boathouse and boats. Biking. Wreath making. Firewood. Land preservation. Each area will provide crews where the disabled will work alongside typical co-workers. Our philosophy is that everyone has challenges/disabilities and some just need more help. Co-workers will be trained in their area of interest and have a calling to help others. Other projects are in discussions so stay tuned! If you have ideas, please share them with us.
