Julianne Tialavea AKA "Chef Julz" graduated with her Culinary Arts Degree in 2011. Three years later she opened up Sweet D's--a tribute to her late father, Don Tialavea, by using his nickname. For Sweet D, socializing always included service and good food! Chef Julz comes from a long line of great cooks. Her great-grandmother filled the plates daily of the Alhambra Fire Department; her grandfather

was a cook in the army; and, her grandma Shirley ensured nobody left her house without experiencing her unforgettable food! Chef Julz gained the love for baking/cooking by watching her mother carry on the family tradition. With over 100 first cousins, cooking for large groups became second nature for Chef Julz. These wonderful influences led her to this amazing journey of Sweet D's. Please contact me if you have any questions or to place orders!
