Oh Bay-bee baby shower cake with perfect spring theming. I love how all the shades of muted yellow honeycomb contrasts against the bright yellow of the fresh flowers. And, of course, you can’t forget the fondant bees that add the final touch. 🐝

This cake is such a perfect example of not only custom cakes, but of why I love my job so much. This request was for a retirement cake made for a woman who worked in medical research at UCONN. There are so many fun details on this cake - from the mouse wearing a lab coat, to the test tubes, to the clipboard. But I have to say that my favorite part is the DNA made with teeny tiny sprinkles. And yes, I sat there with tweezers and placed each tiny speck. But it was all worth it. It makes me smile. I am so blessed that my passion became my career.

Another vintage cake - but this time made for a 5 year old girl. Lots of bows, roses, and of course, a fondant tiara. This one took me by surprise - very much in love with the marriage of vintage and princess.
