Baker by Nature’s recipes never ever fail to amaze me!!! 😍 Today I made Chocolate Swirl Coffee Cake for my mom, since coffee cake is one of her favorites! The dark chocolate is such an amazing additive to go with all the sweetness in the cake and the crumble on top. It’s the perfect sweet breakfast treat!! The recipe calls for 1 cup of sour cream but sadly I forgot to check my fridge for that beforehand. So I ended up using greek yogurt! The cake was still so soft and perfect, it was a smart last minute swap for sure! Definitely check out Ashley’s page and website for more amazing recipes. My favorite would have to be the Chocolate Raspberry Cake which I made in december for my moms birthday, i’ll share it on here soon!!! Who wants a slice of this delicious coffee cake in the meantime!? 😋🍴☕️

Russian Tea Cakes! These delicious balls of confectioners sugar, butter, flour, and pecans, is also widely known for its popularity at christmas time. They originated in Europe as tea time snacks (hence the name), and they soon migrated to Mexico and became a popular cookie served at weddings. These cookies took about 40 minutes to bake, you wouldn’t have guessed it for their size! After they cooled down, i dusted some confectioners sugar on top and it was perfection. A melt in your mouth kind of cookie! 😍

Throwin’ it back to Christmas with some Schwarz-Weiß Gebäck, AKA German Checkerboard cookies! These cookies took a while to make, but they were so worth it! They are eggless shortbread cookies with 2 different doughs, regular and cocoa, and they are constantly stacked, cut, and refrigerated, to give it the crisp lines of the checkerboard pattern. Before being put in the oven, I decided to do an egg wash over top these cookies to give it a nice finishing look, and to hold tight to some of the moisture. Weihnachtsgebächt (German Christmas cookies) are usually baked to last a while through the holiday season, and they are used to serve unexpected house guests! They were delicious, and perfect for Christmas time. I can’t wait to try this recipe again, and to make the lines look a little better on my next attempt!!

The inside of a Peanut Butter Chocolate Blondie 😍 so easy to make, and so delicious!! Every bite has the perfect flavor combo, and it’s so moist and soft! 🥜🍫 Do you like peanut butter? I think PB & chocolate is the best combo!

My famous brown butter chocolate chip cookies 😍 baked to perfection with a chewy outside, and a soft middle, and sprinkled with sea salt. The process to make these usually takes 2 days. There are lot of different forms of chilling that goes on so the cookie does not spread as much while baking. It gives it a richer flavor & makes the cookie chewier!! Chilling the dough also allows time for the flour to soak up the moisture in the dough, and that makes it easier to work with. I’m going to be selling these soon!! (& maybe giving some away..) 🍪💗 Have you tried one of my cookies yet? If so, let me know what you thought!
