It's finally here, our final wedding cake. It's all buttercream with buttercream lace details. The flavors are chocolate espresso with peanut butter buttercream filling and lemon chiffon with lemon curd filling.

As you may expect, the ongoing state of the economy has hit home based businesses very hard. While I am not ready to hang up the "Closed" for good sign, I have made the hard decision to stop taking any new orders at this time.

It has been a joy to be invited into a very special part of your wedding celebrations over the last 10 years, to then be asked to bake anniversary cakes, baby announcement cakes, gender reveal cakes, then birthday cakes each year after. It's only left for me to say, thank you! Thank you for allowing me to play such a sweet role in your celebrations as you journey through this life. Their wedding is postponed until June 26, 2021, but today with family and friends they'll say "I do" and there will be cake. The cake will be the same flavor as their wedding cake will be, praline pecan cake with cream cheese filling. It will be decorated like one tier of their wedding cake will be decorated next year. It's all buttercream with edible copper and pearl dragees.

A Note to my Clients,

I'm praying that this message finds you in good health! I wanted to send a note about the current situation and how it may or may not affect your cake orders. I want all of my clients to know that I am here for you and I understand if dates and even locations need to change. We will work through whatever we need to work through to make it happen. I've been operating on a week by week basis and at this time I am not taking new short turnaround orders for birthdays or special events as most will be canceled or postponed. This gives me the ability to be focused on the weddings I already have scheduled and work one on one with each client as many are having to postpone weddings.

If you have a bridal shower, baby shower, or other special event cake ordered, I have already been in touch with you or will be reaching out soon.

I understand how stressful this has been for everyone and I want you to know that your cake orders are safe and secure. I will be in touch as your event approaches, feel free to contact me if you already have date changes.

I hope that life begins to return to normal very soon! Until then, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay in touch!
