Before most of us have had our first cup of coffee, Jacob is already hard at work mixing dough, preparing glazes, whipping fresh toppings, and getting everything ready for another day in the bakery.

One of his most important jobs? Setting up the challah dough for the trainees in our Vocational Program, helping create hands-on learning opportunities alongside the fresh bread and pastries you'll find in our bakery.

Every loaf, pastry, and cookie starts with people like Jacob, whose dedication and craftsmanship keep Dakota running day after day.

After plenty of practice (and a whole lot of dough), our team has mastered the art of taming 18 pounds of challah into one glorious, golden masterpiece.

Standing 6 feet long and weighing in at 18 pounds, our champion is ready to take on the title of Michigan's Biggest Challah. It's safe to say we have the best AND biggest challah around.
