An important announcement for our customers🤎
After much consideration, we have decided to end our rewards program. Beginning October 19th, we will begin using good, old fashioned punch cards. November 15th will be the last day to redeem the points you currently have.
Our rewards program was created as an extra perk for our customers-a way to say thank you for supporting our small business. It was never something we were obligated to offer, but something we wanted to give back as a thank you for choosing us.
Unfortunately, we have experienced way too many situations where my team has been met with unkindness, frustration, and disrespect over rewards. Treating them unkindly over something being “wrong” with the points, or demanding to receive money off that we “owe” them. No free item, discount, or perk should ever come at the expense of my team being treated in such harsh manner.
My team shows up every day to serve customers, make great food and drinks, and create a welcoming environment. A rewards program is just a perk, not an entitlement, and it should never be a reason to mistreat the people behind the counter. This decision was not made lightly, but I believe protecting my team and maintaining a positive environment is more important than offering a perk that has become a source of negativity.
Kindness is always free, and respect should never be optional.
