Not only does this hit close to home, but we wish we knew about these free classes SOONER! We encourage ALL Wentzville businesses to set up a class with their employees to learn the lifesaving knowledge of CPR & the class covers choking as well! We are so so grateful that Rob is here and doing well to share his story, but we also know how fast these things happen & how scary the situation can be when you don’t know how to react and jump into action! We hope that everyone sets aside the time to take a class, as it could be a stranger, your friend, or your loved one that needs it!! Below is the link for to RSVP for the FREE CPR classes! If you are looking to schedule a big group, reach out to schedule a class time that works for you! ❤️

On August 12, a wife and daughter found themselves performing CPR on someone they love.
The owner of Lulu’s Shaved Ice in Wentzville, Robbie Perkins, went into cardiac arrest at home, and his wife Misty and daughter Peyton worked together to perform CPR while they waited for first responders to arrive.
Peyton had learned CPR years earlier while attending Wentzville Fire Protection District’s Kids Camp. She attended every year she could, from 2nd through 6th grade. Years later, those lessons became very real.
What could have been a tragic situation had a very different outcome thanks to Misty and Peyton, and all the first responders and medical team who cared for him, and we're very happy to report that Robbie is doing well.
After this incident—Robbie’s second cardiac event in eight months—the family reached out to Wentzville Fire to schedule a CPR class for all of the Lulu's staff. Earlier this week, the Perkins family, some close family friends, and all of their employees spent the evening learning or reviewing CPR skills together.
You just never know when something like this will hit close to home. We’re grateful that this family knew what to do, and we commend them for wanting to ensure their entire workplace is trained and better prepared should they ever face a similar situation.
