A little time away in the western mountains and now it’s back to bread.

After missing last week’s market and a couple weeks without stocking the stores…fresh sourdough is finally back at the Wellsboro Farmers Market today.

A little break from baking this week! Trading in flour covered counters for some western mountain air🏔️

The farmstand will be closed, our wholesale locations won’t be restocked, and Mama Goose won’t be at the farmers market this Saturday.

All set up at the Wellsboro Farmers Market today with lots of sourdough goodness.

A limited number of two customer favorites are here today…Lemon Blueberry and Jalapeño Cheddar…along with Garlic + Herb, Everything Bagel, and Classic Plain.

Also stocked with lots of sourdough pizza dough, sourdough pancake mix, brownie mix, and the 300-year-old German sourdough starter.

It’s a beautiful day to stroll through the market, say hello, and support local.

Summer in sourdough. Fresh organic lemon zest, blueberries we picked yesterday, and our long-fermented sourdough. We’ll have a limited number of these loaves at the Wellsboro Farmers Market this Saturday from 10–2!

Don’t throw away your carrot tops!

I turned ours into a delicious carrot top pesto. Spread it on toasted Mama Goose garlic+herb sourdough. Sooooo good!

Carrot Top Pesto
2 cups carrot tops (thick stems removed)
¼ cup pine nuts
1 garlic clove
⅓ cup parmesan
Juice of ½ lemon
⅓ cup olive oil
Salt to taste

Blend in a food processor until smooth and enjoy on toast, pasta, pizza, or sandwiches❤️
