🤎🎂 A Little Rustic Elegance from the Comfort Kitchen! 🎂🤎

Another special celebration cake made its way out of the Crumbs & Comfort kitchen, and I just had to share this beauty! 💙

This gorgeous two-tier cake was created to celebrate a very special 50th birthday! ✨

🍫 Rich chocolate cake in 10-inch and 6-inch tiers

🤍 Cream cheese buttercream with a soft, rustic finish

💙 Hand-piped buttercream roses and delicate flowers in beautiful shades of blue and white

✨ Classic pearl borders with little silver accents

🌿 Fresh thyme and sage from my garden to bring in that natural, rustic charm
And a beautiful wooden Hello 50 topper to finish it all off!

I absolutely love being able to combine two things that bring me so much joy—baking and gardening—into something special for someone else's celebration. 🤎

My cakes aren't about perfectly smooth edges or fancy fondant. I love that homemade, rustic elegance, where every little detail is made with care and a whole lot of comfort.

🎂 A little reminder: While cakes aren't part of my regular weekly menu, I do occasionally accept select custom cake orders depending on my schedule and the design.

And if cake isn't your thing, don't forget about cookie cakes, cupcakes, dessert tables, and other sweet treats for your special occasions!

I made this beauty the other day for a special anniversary and had to give her a spot on the page. 😍

Chocolate + peanut butter is just one of those combinations that never disappoints. 🤎

A little reminder—I do take select custom cake orders! 🎂 Cakes aren't something you'll find on my regular weekly menu, but I occasionally accept them depending on my availability, the date, and whether the design fits my rustic, homemade cake style.

🤎 Hey, Comfort Peeps! I know it’s been a little quiet around here… 🤎

I promise I haven’t disappeared! 😂 Life has just been FULL lately.

As much as I love getting creative in the Comfort Kitchen and sharing all those yummy comforts with you, I’m also currently juggling three kids in sports, my regular job, the enrichment classes I teach, my own college classes, family life, AND quite a few private baking orders. 😅

So social media has taken a little bit of a back seat while I try to keep all the plates spinning.
But the ovens are still going, the flour is still flying, and I’m still over here doing what I love—making homemade comforts for all of you. 🤎🍞🍪

And tomorrow we’re getting back to our regularly scheduled yumminess because…

Mine definitely isn’t a fancy dinner out somewhere. Give me home-cooked comfort food every time. 🥰

My birthday also happens to bring in my absolute favorite season, so what better way to kick it off than with a big bowl of homemade broccoli cheddar soup and a fresh jalapeño cheddar loaf for dipping?! 🥦🧀🍞

Will this dinner win over all of my kids?

Probably not. 😂 But it’s my ONE day where I get to fully choose dinner, so mama wins this one!

And birthday cake? Nope.

🍎 Homemade apple crisp with EXTRA crisp topping and vanilla bean ice cream. 🍨

Now THAT is my kind of birthday dinner. Cozy, homemade, comforting and the perfect way to welcome fall. 🍂🤎

What a weekend! I just want to say thank you again to everyone who came out and supported Crumbs & Comfort at the Montague Balloon Festival.

You showed up, you kept me BUSY, you sold me out, and you reminded me once again why I love doing this so much. 🥹🤎 Seeing familiar faces come back for more and meeting so many new Comfort Peeps made all those hours in the kitchen completely worth it!

Now that I've survived the baking marathon 😂, it's time to get back to our regularly scheduled comforts!

🎈🤎 COMFORT PEEPS… YOU SHOWED UP!! 🤎🎈

What an incredible morning! You all showed Crumbs & Comfort SO much love today and completely sold me out of all my breakfast goodies and breads! 🥹🤎 I seriously cannot thank you enough.

But I’m not quite done yet! I’ll be back for Night Glow TONIGHT with more yummy comforts! ✨ I have fresh sourdough baking right now, plus cake slices, cookie sandwiches, Biscoff Cookie Butter Crunch and more sweet treats while supplies last!

With such an amazing morning and another evening ahead, I’ve decided that tonight will be Crumbs & Comfort’s final time at the Montague Balloon Festival this weekend. I will NOT be returning Sunday morning.

And there’s one more reason… tomorrow is my birthday! 🥳🤎 After this baking marathon and an amazing festival Saturday, I’m going to give myself the day to celebrate, relax, and spend it with my family instead of pulling another super-early bakery morning. 🎂

We are officially SOLD OUT, so I'm closing up the booth for now and heading straight back to the Comfort Kitchen! 👩‍🍳

Because we're not done yet... 😂

I've got some yummy comforts to bake for tonight's Night Glow 🌙🎈 and then we're doing it all over again tomorrow morning for the balloon launch!
