Latest update: My most recent Dr. appointment was for an overdue colonoscopy. How fun....anyway, they found 14 polyps, 13 of them were precancerous. They were removed and I continue to plug on. One day at a time...HIS time.

I know it's been a while, I'm sorry there hasn't been anything until now. I can't seem to get my health completely in order. Just had a Dr. appointment this past week, and have another this coming week. It doesn't appear that I'll be back into baking any time soon. I'll post again later. Thanks for the past support and having faith in me...and above all THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS!

AN OPEN LETTER March 18, 2018
Dear Friends:
As many of you know I had to close Mr. Krumble’s Kakes storefront this past July. When I opened in June 0f 2013 I was in the best of health with only an occasional cold in mid-winter. Within the first year I experienced a “mini-stroke” which affected my right eye, elevated my blood pressure and a cardiac dysrhythmia which are all being kept in check by medication.
In December of 2014 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer that was successfully treated in January of 2015 with “CYBER-KNIFE” at the Brunswick Hospital. At the same time I was diagnosed with three lesions of skin cancer which were successfully removed. I have been diligent in my follow-up appointments with the oncologist, Urologist and Cardiologist. At that same time my second eldest brother lost his battle with bladder cancer.
Early this year I have had urinalysis and bloodwork done numerous times in an effort to explain why my kidneys are working at only 45%. I have had a cystoscope, sonogram and CT scan performed but they have revealed nothing as an explanation and I will continue to monitor it. However, thank the Lord I am still going strong!
I hope to continue with my decorated and whole cakes by order and have, since closing, continued up until the third of this month. I have only recently been able to remove the shop equipment and place it in storage. My gratitude goes to Hugh and Kenneth Ziegler, of ZEIG’S CAFE for their assistance. With all of my on-going Doctor’s visits, it has been impossible to set up a separate cake kitchen at my home in Waynesville. Please be patient and keep an eye open for an announcement here on Facebook.

I was contacted about a small Wedding Cake and 2 dozen cupcakes for pick up today 10/21/17. Chocolate 3 layer 6 inch cake and 1 doz chk/1 doz van CC's. I was asked how early I would be at the shop for pick up. I said 11:00. Well after numerous emails later the unpaid for order was not picked up. If someone would like it for Sunday 10/22/17 for some celebration I'll meet you at the shop on Sunday. The price is two twenty dollar bills. The icing is white vanilla butter cream with navy blue piping.

It is with sorrow that I have to let everyone know that the Mr. Krumble's Kakes storefront on Perry Lane road has closed.

Numerous medical issues arising in the four years since I opened, have made it impossible to continue current operations. The shop number (912) 265-9511 will be accessible until August 31, 2017. The number will change after that and will be posted here on the page.

I hope to continue with the Special Order Decorated cakes and will update information here. You made the past four years a fantastic ride! Thank you so much for the friendship and patronage.
