We keep hearing for more offerings, including seasonal ones so we started tossing some things around. The first is 6 mango tarts fresh out of the oven. The second is a lemon tart before we topped it which we shared because the mango tarts are still warm and we couldn’t wait to share the pictures with you all. Which would you prefer?

This blew my mind. According to Samra Blanchard, MD from the University of Maryland Celiac Center, if you have Celiac Disease and react to getting glutened quickly, you have Gluten Sensitivity too.

For those with only Celiac, it takes longer for the autoimmune response to be noticed. She mentioned that patients who report quick responses are noted in their medical chart to have both.

Have you found a gift for your mom yet? We’re a bit late (sorry!) but found a basket we thought was good enough and threw this together. What do you think? It has 4 Coffee Cakes, 3 Seven Layer Bars, 2 Brownies and a ton of character! We’re looking for a nice card option to add as well. We once had a tasting at a place where someone LOVED our products... until they found out the products were gluten-free. He spent the next few minutes excoriating us on how gluten-free diets were just a California-based fad.

That is why this month is so important.

Today marks the start of Celiac Awareness Month. In case you’re wondering why we need to spread awareness:

✅ Celiac is significantly under diagnosed (estimates are anywhere from 83% - 96% undiagnosed depending on your source).

✅ Celiac has hundreds of symptoms and most are not GI related. (https://www.beyondceliac.org/celiac-disease/symptoms/)

✅ The average diagnosis takes 6-10 years.

✅ Even in 2020, the gluten free diet can be used as the butt of jokes.

We’re sharing one of our biggest secrets right now... want to know ONE of the biggest reasons so many prefer our gluten-free brownie to any other? It’s the chocolate. When we most recently ordered our , our rep was surprised to hear we used that chocolate in our brownie. “Usually when people order that chocolate, they’re using it to make specialized chocolates.” Every pastry chef that had ever tried our brownie has recognized the chocolate as and we couldn’t be prouder.
