Thank you to everyone who came out today, the past week, the past year, the past six years.

I'm going to take some time off to rethink my life choices, and I'll see you on the other side.

This post is for the unsung heroes of Aux Petits Delices.

That handsome guy, that's Bruce, & he is my husband. When I met Bruce, nearly 10 years ago, he could barely cook for himself, & he ate a steady diet of Lean Cuisines, Chef Boyardee, & Hot Pockets. I loved to cook for him, & he wanted to learn, so I showed him a few tricks. This man can cook almost anything now. Fast forward to Summer 2018, 8 months into us buying the bakery, I'm pulling my hair out, trying to do it all. I make good croissants, but I can't give them the attention that they need. Bruce says to me, "If you teach me, I can do it until we hire someone else." We never hired anyone else. It's been Bruce this whole time. He works a full-time job & comes in during his spare time to make croissants. It's maybe 12 hours a week, but it's enough. It should be noted that up until 3 months ago, I was never able to pay him for his work and labor. Bruce has ZERO formal training & has never ever worked in food service until he started working at the bakery. This is a photo of him making his very last croissants for likely forever. He is the reason we have such great croissants that you all love.

You have to really zoom in to see her, but she's one of the hardest working young people I have ever met in my entire life: my sous chef, Sierra. We hired Sierra in January 2020. You all know what came in March 2020. This woman stuck with me through ALL OF IT. She has bent over backward & turned herself inside out for the bakery. A LOT of people think it's me doing it all. Well, it's some of me, but honestly, it's mostly Sierra! All those cakes you've eaten for your birthday and weddings? Sierra. All those cute royal icing cookies? Sierra. All those really awesome new pastries we've had the past year? They're called "Sierra Specials." She has been with me through it all: Covid, holidays, last-minute orders, all my crazy ideas & shenanigans. To say that I could have been this successful without her is absolutely false. It's because of Sierra that I can even come close to success.

If you see Sierra or Bruce, say thank you. We wouldn't have Aux Petits Delices without them.

ONE MORE DAY!

Every day, we will have a full pastry showcase. When we sell out for the day, that's it. We sold out of croissant at 11 am yesterday. We are aiming to sell out every day. We will have A LOT of stuff on Saturday and Sunday, so we are trying to pace ourselves to make it fair for everyone.

We aren't answering the phones, but will listen to voicemails if you leave one.

We've had a couple of people try to place orders. We are done taking orders. You've had since September to get it in. No excuse or reason will get you an order placed. Sorry, not sorry, no hate mail please.

If you have an order already, whether it's paid or not, we have it. Don't worry. And thank you for placing it.

Crazy day!! Thank you to EVERYONE who came out!! We ran out of EVERYTHING, but don't worry! We will have more tomorrow and Sunday!

This is the stack of orders I have from today, tomorrow, and Sunday. It's literally 4 inches thick, and that receipt paper is thin! Hundreds of orders!

Come by, say hi, grab a pastry, we're here tomorrow and Sunday from 9-5.

Thank you to everyone who placed a pre-order. We are so overwhelmed with orders that we cannot take anymore. The entire community really showed up for us this holiday season, and we are so grateful.

This has been a really difficult year for everyone, not just us. Running the business is a constant endeavor. We have felt the effects of inflation, but I know everyone else has too. We are grateful that you've chosen us to celebrate your holiday with desserts and pastries, and we appreciate your generosity. We do not take it for granted and we know that without YOUR CONSTANT SUPPORT (yes I am literally talking to you) we couldn't be here without out. I couldn't pay any of my bills, any of my employees, any of my vendors, without every single one of you showing up, buying pastries, placing pre-orders and supporting us. Whether you're one of my regulars (you ALL know who you are) or you're visiting Wayne and you stumbled across us, every single purchase matters.

THANK YOU, from the bottom of my tippy toes to the very top of my head (where it's starting to grey 🤪), all the way into the depths of the squishy egg noodles in my heart, thank you for your support.

We are here this week from Tuesday 12/19 to Sunday 12/24 from 9 am to 5 pm. Sunday maybe layer than 5 pm, it really depends on how many people keep coming! I'll stay as late as I need to.

We are keeping our normal hours so no one gets confused, and no one feels shortchanged by us opening earlier. We wanna be as fair as possible. We will answer phone calls and emails eventually, just not immediately. Come see us, say hello, grab some pastries.
