🍰 **THE $20 CAKE LADY ISN’T GONE. SHE’S JUST REBUILDING.** ❤️

I’ve missed making cakes. A lot.

But I also learned some very important lessons from how quickly this little cake business grew — especially about how I want it to fit into my life.

So here’s the plan:

**I’m hoping to bring The $20 Cake Lady back in about a year — with a brand-new business model.**

I’m giving myself this next year to settle into my career, find the right licensed commissary kitchen with a solid contractual arrangement, rethink how ordering and pickups work, and build a cake business that is sustainable instead of overwhelming.

And I’m NOT disappearing in the meantime!

Over the next year, I’ll be using this page to share new cake flavors, photos, experiments, ideas and sneak peeks at what might eventually make it onto the new menu. 🎂

There will be **no orders for now** — this is my year to create, experiment, plan and build.

I started this little business because I love making really good homemade cakes that regular people can afford. That part hasn't changed.

I just learned that I need to build the business around my life — not build my life around the business.

So stay here. ❤️ There are going to be cakes.

Lots and lots of cakes.

Due to an unexpected change in my commercial kitchen availability, I am no longer able to fulfill my remaining cake orders and will be **closing cake production effective immediately**.

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.

If you prepaid electronically for an upcoming order, your **full refund will be issued on September 4.** You do not need to contact me. If you prepaid in cash, please message me so I can arrange your refund.

What started as a little idea grew into something bigger than I ever imagined. I am incredibly grateful to every person who ordered a cake, shared my page, told a friend, came back for another cake, or simply cheered me on.

I truly loved making cakes for all of you, and I will always be grateful for what this little business became. ❤️

‼️‼️‼️**IMPORTANT CAKE ORDER UPDATE** ‼️‼️‼️

I’ve learned that a few people affected by my recent rescheduling **did not receive the messages I sent**, and I am so sorry.

I did my best to contact everyone individually, but for whatever reason, some of those messages were not received. Most people did get them, but I absolutely do not want anyone showing up expecting a cake without knowing there has been a change.

**If you have an upcoming cake order and have NOT heard from me, PLEASE MESSAGE ME.**

Due to an unexpected and significant change in my availability, I had to make the very difficult decision to reschedule a number of orders. Anyone affected has the option to **reschedule or cancel their order.**

I completely understand the disappointment and frustration this may cause. This little cake business grew faster and bigger than I ever imagined, and right now I simply cannot physically complete every order that was previously scheduled.

I’m doing everything I can to communicate with everyone and work through this as quickly as possible.

If you have a cake scheduled for **this weekend or next weekend**, please check your messages!

Due to a major and unexpected change in circumstances, I unfortunately need to reschedule a number of existing cake orders.

**Orders scheduled for this weekend are being moved to Sunday, September 20 at 7 PM.**

**Orders scheduled for next weekend are being moved to Sunday, September 27 at 7 PM.**

I have been reaching out individually, but there are a few people I have not been able to reach. If you have an order scheduled during either of these weekends and haven't heard from me, **PLEASE MESSAGE ME.**

Most of these orders were taken months ago when my circumstances were very different. I absolutely hate disappointing anyone, but I also have to be realistic about what I can safely and responsibly fulfill.

If your new date does not work for you, I completely understand if you need to cancel.

I cannot thank you all enough for the absolutely incredible amount of love and support you have shown me and my little cake business. What this has grown into still blows my mind. 🥹❤️

**If you reached out to me BY my August 19th deadline**, please don’t worry! I am working through all of those messages and **I WILL GET BACK TO YOU ASAP.** If your message was sent by the deadline, you are not being ignored — I promise! ❤️

But as of now:

I am officially booked for the remainder of the year and need to protect the orders I have already committed to so I can give every single one the time and attention it deserves.

I am in the middle of a **HUGE life and career transition**, and this week has been much more overwhelming than I anticipated. I know I have been slower to respond than usual, and I sincerely apologize.

After **8/19, my order books will officially CLOSE for the remainder of 2026**, and I will not be accepting any additional orders until **January 2027**.

If you know you want a cake for Thanksgiving or Christmas, **please get your order to me before August 19th!** Once my holiday spots are filled, I may need to close ordering even earlier.
