Meet Devyn! 👋 Devyn is an Online Shopping Associate at the ShopRite of Manchester, CT.

She has been a part of #TeamShopRite for over 18 years, and we are so lucky to have her! 😊 Devyn started as a Service Clerk, then became a Cashier before moving over to Online Shopping. She says she loves working with her amazing coworkers!

Outside of work, Devyn is an incredible visual artist and vocalist! She decorates a pumpkin every year for Halloween that blows peoples minds, and is always the top pick by customers for the annual contest. 🎃

As you probably know, starting May 4, a new statewide environmental law prohibits retailers in New Jersey from providing customers with single-use plastic and paper bags for carryout purchases.

This law will change the checkout experience for both in-store and online orders. Here’s what to expect at ShopRite:

👉 Single-use plastic and paper bags will no longer be available at checkout.

👉 As a convenience for those who do not bring their own bags to the store, our popular Everyday Tote Bag (currently on sale) and a sturdy reusable carryout bag will be available for purchase.

👉 To avoid paying for bags, simply bring your own reusable bags to the store every time you shop.

👉 Online orders—both delivery and pickup—will be charged a flat fee of $1.50, which covers as many bags as necessary to properly bag an entire order.

We understand that this is a big change to the way you’re used to shopping—and we’re working diligently to make the transition as smooth as possible. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we all adjust to New Jersey’s bag law.

While eggs are used all year long, they're especially popular for many warm weather celebrations. ☀️ Like meat, poultry, seafood and produce, eggs are perishable and need to be handled properly to prevent foodborne illness.

Here are some tips from the Partnership for Food Safety Education for having a safe and egg-cellent spring:
🥚 When cooking, place a single layer of eggs in a saucepan. Add water to at least one inch above the eggs. Cover the pan, bring the water to a boil, and carefully remove the pan from the heat. Let the eggs stand (18 minutes for extra large eggs, 15 minutes for large, 12 minutes for medium). Immediately run cold water over the eggs. When the eggs are cool enough to handle, place them in an uncovered container in the refrigerator where they can air-dry.
🥚 When handling eggs, be careful not to crack them. Otherwise, bacteria could enter the egg through the cracks in the shell.
🥚 Keep hard-cooked Easter eggs chilled on a shelf inside the refrigerator, not in the refrigerator door.
🥚 Remember the two hour rule, and make sure the “found” eggs are back in the refrigerator or consumed within two hours.
🥚 Keep in mind that hard-boiled eggs are only safe to eat for one week after cooking.
